Well you have to have a password and or Face ID/Touch ID to access the phone, so, technically you do. If you let someone use your phone who would intentionally check that album then you need to get rid of them or you need to change your bad behavior

Also even if the photos are hidden when you go to 3rd apps like WhatsApp you can still access them

For me it didn’t work. When u go to settings to find it and u don’t see it u will see a setting to turn on called hidden album if it is on turn it off and when u turn it back on go to albums scroll all the way down and u will see hidden click on that and it should work.

It’s actually much better to download a photo vault app because then you’re photos and videos are private because it requires a passcode to access them and you can use a password for each folder also just hiding photos someone could find them easily.
