I dont think it's a big deal if their born middle class it's just pretending that you grew up poor is mad disrespectful to those who actually did start from the bottom.
literally nobody thinks that. bruh grew up in a shared duplex with his sick mom tho, so it's not like life was perfect. and he started acting to help pay the bills. I'm not saying he's from the hood either but since he was a child actor, that means he was probably a preteen noticing his mom could use some extra income. sounds to me like a kid with a hustling gene
Chief keef grew up in the projects buttttttt..... just because you grow up in the projects don't mean you had it rough. My definition of growing up rough is growing up homeless,no parents/guidance, no food, in group homes, around scumbags etc you get the picture. DO NOT BE FOOLED some people who live in the projects are functioning decent citizens and have things as well 🤷🏾♂️
facts, it bugged me repeatedly how he kept hinting that a nice-LOOKING environment means you had less hardships or like you're posing. half the list was just people who grew up in quiet spots but had a hustle in mind. that doesn't mean they didn't do the shit they said
Its true that the toughness of rap used to come from black people from the hoods back in the 80’s and 90’s but since the 00’s it was very clear that being a rapper is more marketing then a real thing. However the very source that the rapper use to make rap music today can still come from the same roots. Just not with the same outcome
nah you can hustle & live in a decent crib. that just means that they had more choice than their peers but the motive behind hustling doesn't matter anyway so
This goes to show that no matter where you come from, you need to be true to yourself. Every rapper on here (except Drake) are REAL and talk about THEIR reality
Middle class don’t mean rich, esp in a 2024 economy, a lot of middle class live like how the working class lived 10 years ago. Growing up lower middle class Gen Z is the same level as how the older poor rappers grew up cuz of the cost of living.
If you grew up in a middle class you were never poor or at the bottom
who r u
Facts
Started from the bo-
The middle class is shrinking
We got more class and more sense though. The hood goes more against their community. It's trash. 😂😂😂
No shame in whatever class you grew up in.
What matters is how you carry yourself and how you respect others.
Agreed

None in the rap music was born poor or started from the botton, is all fake.

And people still think that Drake " started from the bottom "🙄🙄

He did technically start from the bottom since BEFORE moving to middle class he was broke
Started from the bottom now we here
Not the hood as the bottom. But the bottom as in he made a name for himself.
That’s not middle class😂 that’s upper class.

Yeah, so you don't think your homies dying around you, everyday shootings and living in project homes isn't struggling? Yeahhhhhh
No they dont ppl in the projects are poor asf those are the same kids that practically survive on school lunch cuz they so poor
although i understand and agree with this video, where you lived/grew up doesn’t determine your upbringing
