That street is nicknamed Malaysian Street. Malays like to shop Malaysian traditional attire like baju melayu, baju kurung, as well as Islamic clothing there. The sellers speak Malay and accept Malaysian ringgit. The street kopi sellers display the drinks menu written in Malay with price in Malaysian ringgit 😊
As per usual, you have managed to stay near another one of my recent hotels. I was 2 or 3 hotels down from the Aluna. I think it was called Thanh Tho Hotel. Great location! You had a wonderful looking breakfast option. Thanks for the review! I love the area and will continue to stay in that area as I return in the future. Thanks, Mate!
It's nice that you were able to have breakfast with Doug there. It looked like a nice spot. Way nicer than what I usually go for. I'm like Doug and go for the less expensive spots. Haha it must be a Canadian thing.
Oh my god! The bathroom looks like Batman supercomputer, what are those? HALAL street! Nice! You are so brave, those are the spicy Vietnamese chilis right? Thanks for introducing another place I can stay in HCMC bro.
I know right? I tried using it and water just comes shooting out straight which was weird so that was the end of my experiment.. lol! Yeah VN chillies are super spicy and more acidic which I love especially the light green ones.. boleh mati lor.. lol!
@@WanderEats Aiya...I would love to know what's all those buttons for. Guess only way to find out is to stay there. Once I was confident I can take the heat and used like a few in my food. It's totally inedible, too spicy.
I plan to go to this area next week, and will be looking for a place to stay, what do you feel about the service of this hotel ? Or do you have other hotel suggestions? thank you before and greeting.🙏
Salam sejahtera bro... if you prefer to be close to Halal food, then this is the perfect place to stay. In terms of per night pricing, here are the best options on this street itself, ranked by cheapest to expensive: - Sazi Ben Thanh Hotel (RM96/IDR350k) - Aluna Ben Thanh Hotel (RM110/IDR400k) - Gia Huy Hotel (RM135/IDR490k) - Dazi Signature (RM165/IDR600k) - Cochin Sang Hotel(RM280/IDR1mil) - Silverland Ben Thanh (RM535/IDR1.95mil) The strength of Aluna Ben Thanh Hotel would be their simple Halal breakfast buffet but other hotels along this road, I can't confirm if they are Halal or not.
@@WanderEats your advice is very good, I am Muslim, and this is very complete, I am happy you helped me, friendly greetings, from Indonesia, thank you very much 🙏
LOL. As the only "white guy" in a Vietnamese family, who's travelled 'Nam from Sa Pa to the Mekong, may I remind the audience that nobody calls it "Ho Chi Minh City". EVERYBODY calls it "Saigon". 😆

Hey buddy.. yeah its quite centralized and one of the reason I picked this hotel was to be walking distance to Doug's hotel too.. lol!
Room looks clean and comfy. Now the shower looks out of this world. Pity the water pressure is not so good.
Yeah really a pity or else I will be having one of those Hollywood moments with the shower.. muahahaha!

hahaha, as Doug would call it, stretching the Canadian dollars :)
