TRAVEL CHEAP IN USA | Flixbus from New York to Washington DC

When we were planning to travel from New York and Manhattan to Washington DC, we initially looked at trains. However, the prices were skyrocketing, so we opted to book bus tickets for a quarter of the price instead. Really cheap tickets!
Flixbus operates between the cities, and when the bus only takes just under an hour longer than the train, the choice was simple. The bus departs from the vicinity of Penn Station and then travels, with a coffee stop outside Philadelphia, directly to DC.
Fun fact: did you know that Flixbus owns Greyhound Lines? I didn't until this trip. :)

😂 it might be! I recently traveled on a long distance bus in Sweden. At least there was a small table. Still useless though if you even think of working with your laptop… 🤷‍♂️😏

I guess that depends on how crowded the bus is. We arrived at the bus station 20 minutes before departure. No problem.

@scrrification We booked one day in advance. I think you can get tickets as low as $35.
