Yes he his abit sad because of a picture circulating around about him being gay and some of his own Jamaican people talking bad about him and I think it stresses him out. He still have all of my support and others
I noticed his mannerisms after most of his performances and they are generally one of humility, gratitude, open to learning and receive critique even though he's good and knows he's that good. I also think it's a beautiful trait to be humane and indentifiable especially when all the lights are on you because with that level of support and cheer from the audience worldwide it's easy to get big headed and conceited and fans tend not to respond well to talented conceited stars. So his display of humility, appreciation and gratitude works well for him throughout the competition. In addition, the week leading up to singing clown he had receive some backlash from his countrymen ... For something they percieved taboo. In a way...I think how he performed clown was almost him saying to them ... "I feel so sad for your ignorance" in a genuine whole hearted way. I felt like he fully absorbed and interpreted the song even while he walked off the stage.

I'm a jamaican an I personally think that we as people overlook the smallest thing they should be supporting him he's there on his own non of us know what he's experiencing instead of encouraging him they become trolls sick of how stupid they blew this picture way out of proportion

Georgina, I really like your honest reviews. Dalton seemed sad probably because he went through a hell of a week: his own people in Jamaica cursed and attacked him because of a photo where he was sitting in the lap of another contestant, Brendan Murray. Homophobia seems to be very common there. He stood up for himself as he is very strong and authentic. But he seems also sensitive and has gone through extreme abuse in his childhood, see article in the Mirror. Therefore I guess with all the stress he has anyways, it got on him. The song is actually telling a similar story, I felt that he connected really well emotionally. I loved this performance very much...
I agree +Anna Wyss. This performance was very raw, and I felt we were seeing Dalton at his most vulnerable. Sad. I had no idea his country was so homophobic. It hurt me to see that the world has come to a place where 2 men who have become like brothers, can't goof around or show any affection for eachother without being judged "GAY".
I am a Jamaican and the few flawed badmind Jamaicans cannot speaks on my behalf or that of many of his well wishers here. I am VERY proud of Dalton Harris i LOVE him for his talent, humility and strength. Dalton will succeed in all his endeavours, he's a fighter who will win his battles because he is blessed and highly favoured.

You can see all the sadness in his eyes from the past week of stress from social media and emotional pressure he seems very sensitive in his performance however he still tried his best in this performance and hopefully he will bounce back the following week. In my opinion he was very sad because he had a whole lot to deal with this week. I am so happy for him and I also feel his pain. He is a winner and please God surround him!!!
First!!!! :) His second performance was better than the first. And he really showed more emotion than before I think the words of this song hit him deep. I really agree with you on this one. I also think the hearing problem distracted him and that's what got him at the end.

This is exactly an example of what I shared with you in a previous review that Jamaicans will love and defend anyone they accept but will come at you very harshly if they're not in agreement with you. Dalton got lots of threats/hate as being gay from a pic of him appearing to be sitting in Brendan's lap. To top it off, his estranged mum claimed he was lying about being abused as a child (she literally confirmed the abuse in her rants though) by stating that she beat him a lot and even taunted him to walk into a truck in the road to kill himself

With all that he has gone through and is going through, I believe that he would do an emotionally captivating version of Stronger by Kelly Clarkson and I Didn't Know My Own Strength by Whitney Houston.

Its not the backlash from the public. The false gay rumor backlash was done right before his feeling good performance...and he handled feeling good quite well. Its his Mothers audio that came out a few hrs before his performance.......he went through some abuse, when he was younger and spoke about it in an interview 2 days ago. His mother responded to the interview on youtube live and she aired a lot of things that was best left private...she was angry, bitter, she admitted doing some things, but she said he lied about some things......its a nasty situation and I'm sure he didnt mean to hurt her. He just wanted to tell his story. His mother and him really need to mend whatever is happening between them.
You shouldn't be together with people who hurt you deeply and don't want to see it and don't apologize for what they've done. It helps you when you can forgive them so you can stop carrying these negative feelings inside you. But if these persons are still toxic towards you, you better protect yourself and leave them alone, even though this hurts... That's exactly what Dalton has been doing. He didn't say bad things about his mother just telling his story and that he has forgiven her... And she keeps putting him down and still doesn't see how she has treated him...so that is her choice...
Georgina, any chance you looked into Sarah Ikumu, I hope you were not chased away by her age, she is way beyond her years in talent and skill, perhaps the best 15 year old singer since Aretha. Why I believe he's sad, I think it's the week he had. There is a photo of him and another person from his team going around. Dalton and his teammate was hugging in the photo but we as Jamaicans didn't take kindly to it and there were a lot of Jamaicans stating he was gay. So I think that did it.
I can not believe they have done this to this poor lad. With an amazing voice. Its sad and shocking. Just to let you know Kai recently had an audition for School of rock had 3 auditions didn't make the 4th. I would love you to review her voice. She doesn't have lesson but was able to pass 2 rounds of he singing. Advice would be appreciated x
You have been dead on with Dalton. He was far more the better singer than the others. Yes I agree he seemed sort of sad after his performance. Maybe he wasn’t happy with his Feeling Good performance. I still think that arrangement was off and made his singing off. You couldn’t see him that well either. I enjoyed Clown more. Can’t get enough of Dalton. He’s amazing.

This was an amazing performance (though I also loved “Feeling Good”) and the staging was MUCH better. Even though I love Scarlett Lee, I really think/hope Dalton will win. Love from Florida! Georgina, I don't know Dalton's life, but it's not a secret his ears are deformed and were much more so in the past due to an accident. His ears were burned and the resulting keloid scarring made his ears mishappen and bulbous. It made him a laughing stock, a joke -- "go ahead and laugh, I would too" -- he seems to point to that painful memory when he touches his ear (less deformed after surgery, just cauliflower-like now).
Dalton took me on that ride with him....so emotional tears tears.he is truely talented

He's been extremely sad for the past week. So it had an effect on him. You can see it but he's so very good, and we love him. He will do great.
THAT was all around gorgeous! Easily forgive him the off note because this one he , to me, sang with emotion as well as great skill.

Georgina, any chance you looked into Sarah Ikumu, I hope you were not chased away by her age, she is way beyond her years in talent and skill, perhaps the best 15 year old singer since Aretha. That audition she did of I Am Telling You is the equal of any version including J Hud, she is that good.

Why I believe he's sad, I think it's the week he had. There is a photo of him and another person from his team going around. Dalton and his teammate was hugging in the photo but we as Jamaicans didn't take kindly to it and there were a lot of Jamaicans stating he was gay. So I think that did it.
I can not believe they have done this to this poor lad. With an amazing voice. Its sad and shocking. Just to let you know Kai recently had an audition for School of rock had 3 auditions didn't make the 4th. I would love you to review her voice. She doesn't have lesson but was able to pass 2 rounds of he singing. Advice would be appreciated x
You have been dead on with Dalton. He was far more the better singer than the others. Yes I agree he seemed sort of sad after his performance. Maybe he wasn’t happy with his Feeling Good performance. I still think that arrangement was off and made his singing off. You couldn’t see him that well either. I enjoyed Clown more. Can’t get enough of Dalton. He’s amazing.

You always looking for negative, even the slightest. A bias person could never be a good critique. Give people what they’re due. Dalton will win and there’s nothing you can do to stop him winning.
This comment though! The honest coach dint say anything over critical , .she gave a great review and sisd she loved the performance, she just pointed out a little flaw but its no biggie.
@@slick-starr8190 I agree completely with your reply. In her reaction vidoes, Georgina is not simply reacting to each performance, but she's also providing feedback for her subscribers who are here for her *honest* opinion as a vocal coach.
I appreciated her pointing it out as a slight missed note, and nothing to fuss over, because he managed to recover quickly with the riff (or was it a run?) that he did immediately after. Thank you @honestvocalcoach for your kind, constructive, critiques. And for giving Dalton props for his lovely voice and skills from the start. ☺

Huh. Supposedly you have four comments on this, but I’m not seeing any! Anyway, I completely agree with everything you’ve said here. This was an amazing performance (though I also loved “Feeling Good”) and the staging was MUCH better. Even though I love Scarlett Lee, I really think/hope Dalton will win. Love from Florida!

Georgina, I don't know Dalton's life, but it's not a secret his ears are deformed and were much more so in the past due to an accident. His ears were burned and the resulting keloid scarring made his ears mishappen and bulbous. It made him a laughing stock, a joke -- "go ahead and laugh, I would too" -- he seems to point to that painful memory when he touches his ear (less deformed after surgery, just cauliflower-like now).
