Hey Tyler, that's a hard call. Both have their advantages, but if you are only going to have one, I would recommend the ball mount bow vise. It may be a little slower on some occasions where you don't have the fixed axis rotation, but it can do more. It also provides a little more clearance if you are working on a bow with an attached quiver. They are both great tools and I think you would be happy with either, but the ball mount will allow you to move the bow around in more ways.
