- digitalpill.tv/ Anita Hustas performs and talks briefly about two graphic scores 'Stream' and 'Underwater' from her 'Water' collection composed in 2008. In trying to find creative approaches to composing and making music, and integrating visual art and music performance, Anita has been creating graphic scores for improvisors since 2003. In this video Anita plays Double Bass and Waterphone.
It's called a Waterphone and they come in various shapes and sizes. They have become slightly more poular over the last 15 years and although most music stores may not have one available in stock they'd probably have a distributor you could order one from.
Not sure how i ended up here....i think vis Shannon DigitalPill vid....great scores.
Playing beautifully....great to hear you again.
You're insane..! The frequencies gave me a pleasant beating in my inner ear.

GREAT!!!!!
Anita - I am a very old composer (!) who really wants to use graphic notation to make my scores less dictatorial and to give the performer more freedom. I'd like to find my own path in this, of course, but I would like to learn how to read a graphic score or two myself before I write one. How do I get help??? Yours with unbounded potential... Michael :)
Those of us who are at this doorstep need to talk more. I am at this similar threshold, too.
