While on tour in 1996, we had the pleasure of meeting the Boilermaker guys in San Diego and were supposed to play a show at Che Café. Unfortunately, a promoter mishap had us following a college reggae band sometime after midnight, and Boilermaker did not play. We were paid with a bag of oranges.
Luckily a few weeks later we crossed paths with Boilermaker again in the mid-west and played a couple of shows together. They were amazing. I filmed this set in a dark basement with about 20 people in attendance.

Boilermaker is a band that’s been in heavy rotation in my life for 20 years. To the uninitiated, I’ve often described them as the best band you’ll never hear of. If you don’t know Boilermaker, I think you should.

Best 3 piece of all-time. Love and miss these guys. RIP Terrin.
Thank you for this. To see Terrin at the height of his powers, when we miss him so much...it means the world.
My band played with them in Kansas City that summer, same scenario: dark basement, 20 people and some of the raddest music, which in '96 I called "emo" by one of the raddest bands from that period of that kind. Giants Chair also played that show. Summer of '96 was a big one for me, musically. Thanks for having caught this and sharing it here with us!
Proudentall ruled!
Them and GC is amazing
Boilermaker was so good live. Saw many of their shows and their final tour in SF. They don't have a bad song.
lucky you
RIP. I enjoyed so many shows with you. Forever love.
For a '90s show this has surprisingly good audio, nice!
I'd say Boilermaker and Counterfit were the two best bands to come out of SD. Terrin is glowing with Tim banging away. So Rad.
I was one of the 20 people at this show! My band (Salvo Rain) was also on the bill that night.
Gregory Ellis is case you never saw this: facebook.com/dahliaseedband/photos/a.44323388262/44324063262/?type=3
One of the most underrated 90s emo bands, should be up there with the essentials

They played a show in friends basement and then we played them in basket ball. The best band I ever saw live.
