Got a chance to check out a Preview build. Has splitscreen and only quick race option but plenty of cars. Music is claimed to hell and back so turned it off. Used my own music for the menus as it was quiet. Enjoy the gameplay!
Is there a way to get the preview build still?
I really hope there’s extra difficulty settings, because to be honest this looks way to easy if you know what your doing.

Instabuy for me. There are less triple A arcade racers out there than fingers on one hand and this game looks like a mix of Hot Wheels, F-Zero, Rumble Racing/Ridge Racer. And the latter 2/3 game franchises I dearly miss in the current gaming landscape.
Need For Speed is the closest to an arcade racer out there today, I'd give Heat a try. Has a very Fast and Furious feel to it
@@doge_testies4070 played it until there was a chase I couldn't get past. Heat is kinda fun, but the drifting is crap, reversed logic wise and the support from EA is nonexisting. And even with all that, it is sadly indeed the best pure arcade racer out there. Shows bothe the quality and quantity of the pure arcade racing games out there. Even including arcade racers like bikes, boats, jetski's, planes etc.
@@Caelum_NLD let me tell you this, NFS Heat is fun at first but eventually there be nothing left really due to it being abandoned so soon.
Also to actually get good drifting, gotta get the right car cause many people use the RX-7 FD but that is just too easy. Even I use a Mercury Cougar to drift
@@CosmicStardust2025 The crazy thing is that you have to equip drag tires to be able to drift with a car.

Looks fun and the car models look insanely accurate to the actual toy cars, wich is a big plus for me. This might turn to be a great Hot Wheels game after all these years.

I love how the game makes all these cars feel like an actual toy, and make everything gigantic so we feel like we’re in the point of view of the toy car

(2nd edit) and I feel like you should be able to put like the ID of a certain car in somewhere and get that car permanently, although that would make the game semi unfair for those who don't have a lot of Hot Wheels cars

in my opinion this new game doesn't even compare to beat that, the maps took better advantage of the scenery

Ngl Beat That was a damn good game back in the days and is still pretty fun. I think this game would do justice to our nostalgia but it feels like it's missing just a little something despite everything seeming so perfect at the same time.

Let's not forget Stunt Track Challenge. I wanna see a few of those cars also make a return along with some of the tracks put into this style. I wanna see the Ballistick drive around once again

@@ptrcrispy agreed. It was too realistic for its time when I had to go through that challenge as a kid. It still kinda spooks me but not as it did as a kid.

Obviously I'm not scared of it at all today anymore, however I still look at that level and think "man, did they HAVE to make that spider so big and realistic at the same time"?

This game looks great, 10yo me would love it even more. Hope we see all hw original cars added over time with recolor skins, tracks, game modes and an online feature with even trading. Would be nice if you could enter the code that's at the back of the physical carded to get it instantly unlocked. This could even make ids worth it.
And it would boost their toy cars sales too, it would be foolish not to do so

with how many different castings ald liveries there are, this ould likely be impossible outside of an mmo/online format (like gtaV for example). maybe dlc will add more but lets be honest, it could always be mircotransactions or lootboxes :/

What an absolute gem of a game that is my friend!
Love to see the HW fantasy cars in these games! Nothing like seeing a dino, raptor, and hotdog race side by side xD. It would be awesome if they add different hotwheels re-colors/paint schemes of the same vehicle so you can choose between them, maybe add it in as unlockables. Hopefully theyll add some more intense visual and audio effects in the completed version! Maybe even a game mode that adds in some power ups too
As someone who has so many hotwheels my garage is a dedicated storage space for them, I can’t wait for this game.
To be honest I kinda wish this turns out like HotWheels Beat That
Beat That had so much heart in it, the fun power ups, the unique themed track sets, the interactable track objects and secret paths in it, the large hotwheel selection, the amazing soundtrack fitting each themed track perfectly, there was so much in Beat that, that if a remaster of it came out in HD with the same core gameplay and love, I'd buy it in a heartbeat
Same here, we had the Beat That Wii. We play that game so much, it would be cool if it had new graphics. This one looks cool as well.
I hope they have a track editor as well. and maybe mod support?

The realism is absolutely beautiful… As a hotwheels collector since I was an itty bitty little thing, this almost brought a tear to my eye knowing this is exactly how a group of friends of mine and I saw the hotwheels cars we raced on the floor way back when.

Seeing this is fun, and I remember the only Hot Wheels game I had when I was growing up was Stunt Track Challenge on the PS2. I was glad to see Twinmill make a return, but I was kinda disappointed not seeing Ballistick or any of the other cars from that game make a return. Maybe they'll show up in the future. Fingers crossed.
I love how they added the super treasure hunts, it would me make me feel special driving the car I was lucky enough to find in real life

also the current hotwheels originals are already getting unnecessarily hated in collector community (some which appeared in acceleracers/highway 35 being an exception but that seems hypocritical) this is the right chance for them to shine.

I was wanting to see gameplay of this game for a while so this is cool and I think they did a very good job making the hot wheels look like real hot wheels and same for the tracks and background like the house and more.
I like how hotwheels doesn't just make the cars more realistic and they just make it the same as real life so the experience is more real

I'm now thinking this game would have way more charm if the racing had an actual miniature feel with the sound design and physics; like the buzzing speeding sound of rapidly spinning plastic wheels. And little plastic clicking sounds when the cars hit each other
Not gon lie,the game plays amazing , may seem like a kids game but the mechanics and driving are so smooth
I wish you could do flips while in the air and build up nitrous, kinda like the idea it had in Stunt Track Driver

Doth mine eyes deceive me? Is that solid, fun-looking gameplay? With the Hot Wheels branding?! I've gotten used to the near-shovelware quality for the past 20 years that I never expected this. Definitely picking this up ASAP.
They need to make a.i harder or have an option to. That was like driving by your self on an empty track. Maybe also more like Mario cart or Diddy Kong racing with traps and stuff hot wheel style. Like a giant king Kong slam the track or the shark from the toyset that eats car or a full Aztec temple. This game has the potential.

Am I allowed to have an opinion? Don't want to be the one to rain on everyone's parade, but I am tired of this overrated game being overly praised. I played the game and it is boring. And I don't care for the graphics. @alextygesen3101 Why don't you get in here and explain to them why the game sucks.
I don't know if alex is going to join us today, but I will explain. Physics seem extremely generic, track design generic, tracks are too wide with way too many straightaways. The car doesn't even seem to bounce when it hits the ground, so it doesn't feel at all like you are playing with real miniatures. The music is also quite meh. I could go on and on but you'd have to pay me at that point because I'm not going to give away all this advice for free.
I am a fan of hotwheels but this game just doesn't scratch that itch for me.

I appreciate how they kept the cars true to form. However, I find it hard to believe that with the food truck the makers of said Hot Wheel didn't make the color of the burger the same as the colors of it on the package. I mean you could tell what was what on the burger on the package, why couldn't they do the same with the car?
Probably to cut the cost of production maybe?

Love it! Hope they could make the sound effects more "plastic-like". Especially when the car collides with the wall, and plastic roller sounds instead of tyre screeches

I remember playing Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver on my Windows XP Compaq PC. And here i am about to get Hot Wheels Unleashed for my AMD Ryzen 3 3200 Desktop. Just a few more months and my Childhood would be complete!

The game is extremely beautiful, but isn't it like... Too simple? It's modern NFS with less gimmicks, brake to drift etc, the car's wheels don't even steer, but I gotta remember that where talking about a Beta...

As amazing as this game looks I hope they add a mode that let's you use weapons you find on the track like a traditional kart racer game. To me this game looks great but looks like you would get bored after a hour or 2
I agree. Unless you are a die hard racing fan. Mario Kart is still my favorite racing game, if they added weapon/utility pickups in this game its replay value would go up dramatically. Honestly see no reason why they wouldn't, it is a missed opportunity if they don't. Otherwise it is just another racing game. I get bored of Forza also. GTA 5 racing was a pretty good time, but still didn't scratch the itch like Mario Kart.
