This voice is so calm!) Actually, I'm surprised a lot that there's still not so many fans of Bitwig. yeah, it has downsides, but still it's the most incredible and experimental DAW I've ever met. Keep doing this digital madness, guys, and greetings from Belarus!

all DAWs, and everything in life, has pros and cons, but I think the main reason for Bitwig not being sooo popular is just that Live, Logic, etc, are well established. great options, very competitive market. Hope that the users are enough to maintain the business. I really like Bitwig, the grid and all the modulators pre-grid are awesome, it runs very well, and supports Linux!!!. I still prefer ableton looks, more polished i think, the piano roll feels better too. but yeah, bitwig is one of the best musical software around.

I still think they need to make some improvements to the UX for it to really take a leap forward. Some are silly things like I have to literally have the arranger selected for the spacebar to start and stop playback (frustrating having a plugin selected and space does nothing). But bigger things for me still keep me going back to Studio One for final mixes. One big reason is the console is so much nicer to work with.
In Bitwig you have these farty little sliders with no numbers or values on them and the way they have it set up where you can't have everything you want in view at once is infuriating. As in if I want the mixer panel at the bottom of my arranger, certain settings will hide other settings (as in it will hide your sends if you expand inserts etc).
Don't get me wrong. functionality wise, nothing beats Bitwig. Studio One, Cubase and Logic are being left behind in the dust in terms of creative song writing simply because none of them have adopted Ableton's scene/clip playback for live performance and looping (that is the future of production IMO). But when it comes to actually mixing a track or a band it still has a long way to go.
Oh and Studio One has a WAY better browser for instruments, effects and samples etc. It might not even be as functional but it's nowhere near as bloated and messy as Bitwig. I can find what I want in an instant without menu diving. Also option paralysis is a real problem. I don't touch any native instruments or effects in Bitwig as there is just too much to even know where to begin and it's poorly organised.

Will you consider making a node routing option for the entire DAW? Internal effects, synths, midi, everything. Like The Patcher in FL Studio, but even more integrated into the DAW. I'd buy it in an instant. Multiple audio/MIDI in- and outputs in a router, the whole shebang. Haven't seen anything like it in the audio world outside the hardware based Kyma, and I see nodes being used in VFX/video color work all the time, and frankly it's genious.

Hi posebukse, thanks for your request. That is indeed a very good idea. Hopefully we will have something like that in future versions of Bitwig Studio.

From a marketing perspective it's great to be able to say that the GRID has 1000's of modules. In use, however, the AD and AR modules should be one single module with an AR-AD switch. The same applies for the 4 varieties of oscillators.

@konshift Hey, took me a while to find out, but they do sort of have switch... just right-click a plugin to see plugins like it :)

I got this free with an ES-8 but excluded from the tutorials by the lack of subtitles, back to Ableton then.
