The part where after meeting Amir Khan the dad's leaving, 1st he already got humbled by the teacher and realised what he's been doing,how his parenting was like...then when he sees his son reading the notice, he couldn't believe cause Ishan couldn't read before and he got emotional. The father had a tough exterior and for lot of dads or people in general it's hard to show their vulnerable side. So he couldn't face his son in that moment.

To the middle seated guy....See Indian movies with your heart not with practicality.Because as Modern as we might be today ,When it comes to love and personal life ,PPL are still the same ,not so publically now but still there.Just feel the cinema , You will Enjoy it better that way❤
I think when the Principal announced that Aamir is confirmed as a Full Time art teacher , rather than doing this he should have announced that not just the art teacher but he should be given a special admin status where all the teachers in the school must take training from him on how to deal with kids as a teacher.

Man , it was like revisiting my boarding school days 17 years ago and i didn't have any nikumb sir. I have , had and always will have both my elder brothers( or dada, which is a bengali respectful word for elder brothers), my little sister and my mom . When any of them visited my school it was unbearable for me. Both my brothers are also boarding school alumni. We all were sent there in our age of 9 and 10 .My father was absolutely like mr. Awasthi though, who lost his rigidness as we all three brothers got success in our own field and are close to each other as best friends . The far apart you are the more close you become. That's what happened to us brothers. After age 9, we brothers never spent more than 2 months together. Our story is like our own movie. It can't be expressed in this section.
That was the point... It was done deliberately to show the ignorance of the father... In fact normally, even some of our parents wont know which one is Chinese and which one is Japanese :)
Austism OT Speech issue n many such issues are real problem.. now a days mobile n tv causing a lot of damage in infants toddlers... treatment therapy for such problems are way to expensive, not everybody can afford.. be aware n keep your children safe
If they had only tempered down the overacting of the father and teachers in the beginning of the movie - which was very overwrought and high-pitched screaming, not really normal, it would have been perfect. The second half was terrific.
I think you've never seen parents and teachers like this that's why it seems overacting but my neighbour uncle was like that and I used to get tution from one of the brother from our locality for 5years he used to beat his weak students with hard wooden stick and slapped, grabbed hairs insanely,we were not allowed to even play outside or hangout with our friends/family he was a monster.

It didn't do anything to turn it down and I still remember it years later, all of it.
Lol it is not overacting. I was beaten many times on my palm with a steel and wooden scale both. There were few teachers who slapped me hard and screamed loud. Such teachers exist real life, specially in India.
This movie not only broke it's viewers mainly it broke the brains of most Indian/(most asian) parents who force their child to do not good but great in studies it's easy for most kids but not everyone is made out of the most proverbial mold.
They can't enjoy those movies fully...coz of humour lost in translation and slang of saying something....and many instances which r only familiar to indians...but yeah they should try.
