I’m in the middle of having some thoughts on getting into a grad school in UP. 👌👍 thank you for this video.
Love this! about to be a highschool senior but I did a month long pre-med program at pitt last summer and I fell in love with the campus and school. Are you majoring in Bio for premed?
I work there too! Just different unit!
enjoyed the vlog keep it up :)
thank you so much!! i appreciate it!
Aye H2P bb!
Got into Pitt Premed!
Hi, I am going into Pitt as a pre-med starting next year (co’24). I was wondering if Pitt is good for people going into medicine in terms of research opportunities, extracurriculars, shadowing, clinic/non-clinic experience, etc? Also, what made you get yours masters before med school? thanks!
pitt is amazing for opportunities in medicine! There are plenty of hospitals nearby and so many ways to get involved with cutting edge research! I decided to get my masters before med school because I wanted to enhance my academic record!
Love this vid 😭💕😍 do you need to take honors classes or ap classes in high school to take pre med??
What notebook do you use for note-taking??
What app do you use to take notes with your ipad? It looks awesome!
Nevermind I heard it later in the video :) this is an awesome vid though!
Great video!! i am a rising sophomore at Pitt and I am considering bringing my car. I want to know where you park your car!
Hey there! My landlord had parking spots available for around $70/month so I just paid for one of those!
Hi, I am a sophomore in high school and my dream is to become a pediatrician. I would love to do pre-med at Pitt. What do I have to do right now in highschool to try to get into Pitt and into the pre-med program. I have a 3.9 average GPA, junior year I am taking mostly all AP classes, and I participate in chess club, played volleyball freshman year, and do interact. I also am in the gifted program. I am nervous that there is more I need to do. Please help!
Theres really no pre-med program at Pitt! You can be pre-med with any major you decide to take on when you get there! Pitt just looks for excellent grades and it sounds like you have those! I would recommend applying at soon as the application becomes available because they do rolling admission! But I'd say you have a really good shot!
Hey! I know this was two years ago but did you end up applying to pitt?
How did you get into John Hopkins? Not sure if it's spelled right lol
I applied to 3 masters programs within their school of public health and only got into one of them! The program director told me my extracurricular experiences and research made me stand out as an applicant so it helps to get involved!
What medical field do you plan on going into? So interesting love your video :)
Lilly Hope anesthesiology
Hello, my son is going to Pitt in the fall 2019 , premed student, I see you going from one class to the other in your car! Do you think the car is a must? Or it is possible for my son to just walk from one to another class without any problem?
Hey there! First of all I just wanted to say that Pitt is an AMAZING school for being a pre-med student and there are so many opportunities around that area for jobs, research, you name it! I only had a car for my senior year and that was because I lived in an off-campus apartment so it was easier for me to have a car to grocery shopping and what not. You can definitely get by without a car though because the city buses go almost everywhere and they're free with your Pitt ID. There are also Pitt shuttles that take you around campus if its a far walk so I would say a car is nice to have but not a necessity! Hope this helps!
Nika • the Fit MD thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question! And thanks for the info of course , it helps a lot
Omg I’m pre med my life is so hard! My first exam average was like a 60! That’s unacceptable!! I need to goto med school!!
rip dreams lol
Awesome video! I go to Pitt too! #H2P
Are you a part time or full time student?
How far do you live from campus?
I lived in North Oakland, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from campus!
Are you doing the BSMD track at Pitt?
