Hey TwoNotes. I had a rough couple of months. I never have time to play guitar anymore. Today, you sent me a complimentary copy for free just cuz I already spent a ton of money on your other gear and have been a user for over a decade. Just wanted to say thanks. It means a lot.

It’s been humbling to have GuitarML Proteus models included as an option in this fantastic product! Oh my god Two Notes is back !!!! This is the level of innovation and disruption we expect from these guys. I haven't been that impressed since I bought the CAB M+. I feel like all my guitar plugins belong to the previous century. Bravo !!!!

Dude when I bought my opus I was a bit disappointed with the presets but damn when you start tweaking your own stuff it is SUPER KILLER so yeah I got faith in Genome

Looks and sounds great. As soon as this is not just a plug-in but also a standalone app I'm all in. //edit: I have just tried the VST version due to a free trail, and I'm not sure whether it's me (quite possible!) but the default patch volume balancing is all over the place. I set my interface input gain to default... then the patches are either super quiet for cleans or blistering ear piercing distortions.
It's a very nice one, with lots and lots of tone shaping options. If I got it right it's free for someone that has already a registered Captor or such? So this can be the replacement of the Wall of sound plugin I use for years now? I like the integration of NAM because I use it a lot these days. Or I can hook up my Tonex pedal and go from there, or my Crazy Tube Circuits Unobtainium Dumble pre-amp....endless possibilities that will keep me busy for a while. It was worth the long waiting . Congratulations !!
Yes, if you have registered hardware or purchased Wall of Sound / DynIRs before 25th January 2024, you get a copy of GENOME for free. In terms of your external amp sims and preamps, they can be used in conjunction with GENOME by placing GENOME at the end of your signal chain featuring these devices!

Any reason why the same Dyn IRs actually sound worse in genome when playing them back to back with the wall of Sound chain? the genome has more mids and less highs while wall of sound in comparison is definitely more scooped in the mids with higher highs (at least on BritVintC with knightfall mic). I hope you guys dont drop support for Wall Of Sound because I cannot replace it with Genome yet since the DynIrs actually don't sound the same in it.
There is no information on what the difference is between the standard Genome and the Ultimate? There is no breakdown of what the difference is between the two version on the website.
why oh why is this not setup to receive true stereo input?!!!!! i cant find a way for this to do true stereo on the one track say being fed by drums..., inputs are mono LR mix, Mono from L or Mono from R. If i'm mistaken then apologies but surely this is mandatory for plugin processing?

Would love to use it all the time, but it requires so much processing power it almost melted my laptop so I'll stick recording with my opus for now 😂
Thanks for getting in touch. Have you tried turning down the oversampling settings - this can definitely help with CPU load reduction. In addition we have a raft of performance updates which will further help reduce the CPU Load but in the interim, oversampling reduction is the best solution! Let me know if there is anything else we can help you with!
@@RossDaviesTwoNotes Thanks, that helped out a lot 👍. It doesn't jam my cpu anymore but using genome on multiple tracks still causes unexplainable playback pauses on daw though cpu and ram are not even halfway near overloading. Still a great tool in backpocket in the case if a singular track needs alternate tone solutions.

Does this allow routing to external gear (e.g. an amp into a loadbox) and other plugins within the signal chain and therefore avoid needing to daisy chain multiple instances of the Genome plugin in series in order to achieve something like this? If so, this would be truly revolutionary and game-changing!
Thanks for getting ion touch Tiger. No, there is no means of selecting where the signal is sent and received externally in the processing chain at this stage. However we have certainly fed this request back to our development team!
Is the Genome DynIR engine section 100% the same as the Wall of Sound plugin or not exactly the same?

@@RossDaviesTwoNotes Thanks for the reply. I see that the WoS plugin is no longer listed on the Two Notes website, so I guess the Genome IR section has replaced it. As a WoS plugin user, I recently received an email informing me that "your license has now been updated to include our carrier class software ecosystem GENOME.". Will I still be able to use the Wall of Sound plugin in the future if I install Genome and log in with my account? It would be important for me to keep the WoS plugin as well.
@@80s_kid Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, GENOME has replaced Wall of Sound but we will continue to support our legacy application - as such you can use both applications simultaneously on your system. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with today!
it definitely sounds a little bit more honky with more mids while using it with high gain and 7 strings at least with the BritVintC with Knightfall microphone. unfortunately it is not the same at the moment. for me at least it will not replace my wall of sound. that's still my go to for sure
the preset importing from wall of sound doesnt work also on mac os sonoma. i just tried it and i cant select anything from the wall of sound presets to import. they are all greyed out
Is there any plan to implement the nam player on opus too?
Thanks for getting in touch Andrea, Ross from Two notes here. Sadly NAM is a very resource heavy application and the DSP for OPUS simply cannot handle this at this stage. Please let me know if there is anything further I can help you with today.

beware that the dynIrs dont sound the same in Genome. For that reason at least now, I will not use Genome because it colours the original IRs

Please can someone explain this without jargon? I'm getting that it's a plugin with AI but I'm not sure what the AI is doing.
