So glad to have found this music...this group sings to the glory of God...not to their own glory...how refreshing...very good group...love them...will be looking for more...
I bought "Pure Gospel Vol I" just after it's release - at a Gospel Sing in Virginia in 1997. We were impressed that The Narrow Way Quartet was singing with live music and by their testimonies of faith is God's salvation. They told me they came from Bakersville, a tiny town in the western mountains of NC. Then I had to have their CD because my husband's 3rd great-grandfather, David Baker, established a trading post and a post office there after fighting in the American Revolution. The town became known as Bakersville. Grandpa Baker is buried in an old cemetery at the top of the hill behind the Bakersville courthouse. Thank you Narrow Way for your years of wonderful music.
This is a blessing. I just found out about NW4tet from listening to WIOP radio in Kentucky. I listen on the internet. They play traditional Christian music.
They do not sing regularly anymore. They do sing on a special occasion once in awhile. Many people do miss them very much. God used them in a mighty way.
