The fact that he said, “I should have just ended them all” must mean that he had thought about killing them earlier, but maybe held back. Maybe it was due to him wanting to change and “become a real light” after the talk with Namsoon? Now, the last shred of humanity in him has been killed by the same person. The person that he trusted the most
If he wanted to change, then he should've surrendered and gave the cops information about Pavel, so that no one has to go through the suffering that he went through.
This drama could've been another most beautiful drama in the kdrama history .They had so much potential to make them enemies to lovers.Both of them are working together to bring down pavel & at the end Si-O shines as a real light.It's more meaningful and show us how pure their love is.
The plot where Si-o having background story already made him outshine the male lead and Woo Seok acting took this drama to different level 🔥. Si-o getting betrayed made me so sad that I stopped watching this drama. Honestly , Gang Nam-soon is Red flag as we can see how she used his feelings. Although what Si-o did to others is wrong but he was always sweet to Nam-soon.

This might not be a popular opinion but Ryu Si-Oh was my favourite character in the entire series. The actor does such a good job he can be violent and ruthless one minute only to become loving and tender with Nam-Soon the next and he portrayed both sides of the character convincingly. Reading these comments though, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought these two had more chemistry than the main couple 😂 if only Si-Oh had a redemption arc, I would ship it but he sadly is a psychotic killer who went after her and her family so no 🤣🤣
Oh Ryu Shi O - I feel you only love can hurt like this I'm heart broken too. The facial expressions Wow anyone whos watching this episode feels the pain the emotions are there not only that all the scenes all the acting of Ryu Shi O are way way high level, great acting Superb. Byeon Woo-Seok you're an Excellent actor, you're outstanding, fantastic etc. You deserve Best Actor Award you're acting is superb.
Choosing to air this spinoff on Netflix was the best and worst decision of Netflix. Best is, it brought the character of Si-oh to us, while the worst is, we absolutely wasted our time on this bummer
A correction is needed in this story because namsoon had to help ryu shi o escape from the mafia. And the captain had to support them as well. Then Ryu shi oh had to be made a new one. The love he did not have was to give him and make him a man. If that were the case, the fans of Ryu shi o would have been happy. And this story would have ended with joy…
I dont think i will ever forget directors for using one of my favourite tropes (traumatized villain that finds refuge in a sunshine of a person) to turn Si Oh into a complete monster, when they were intentionally trying to humanize him. If he was going to be hearthless from end to start why not just make him evil and hot? He could still hace some sort of relationship with female lead and he wouldnt need any traumatic past. Also this could have helped to develop more the main leads relationship, since it got weaker and weaker since she had started to spy on Si Oh. And then one episode was like "Oh, yeah, forgot to tell you, they are actually dating by now" Bom, a kiss. If I need a kiss to know they are in love, there's something going on back there. Something lacking. Scenes of them in love: well acted, nice, cute, cool, okay. But it is like picking a random romance book and start reading it ten chapters ahead, they are in love, but how this happened? Last time I saw them, they were in a friends-and-some-more-zone. Where's the progress? I know where is it. In the fake relationship, that it was being used just to turn Si Oh into a complete monster with probably not chance of going back. "You have suffered a lot, yeah, I see. Anyway here's more pain. Suffer more and go cause some trouble because if not, there's, apparently, no plot" Nice job.
Exactly mate! This is what irks me. They chose to use one of the favourite tropes of book girls like you and me, (morally grey man with traumatic past and his sunshine love) but couldn't do justice to it. Sioh reminds me so much of Aaron Warner from Shatter Me. Even Juliette misunderstood Aaron at first. I mean, even wattpad writers can write better than this pathetic excuse of a plot
Agree, they should have just kept him cold hearted, he was creating a drug/poison(?) and antidote, don't think there's going to be many redeeming qualities to someone like that. They could have kept him betraying Pavel (but make Si-Oh more formidable). PLUS have him feel betrayed once he realizes Nam Soon's identity and target her and her family.
And after that the next real victims are the viewers. The writers took us on a hopeful ride with a charming villain, only to crash and burn it down the road
#Namsoon's goal is to catch the drug dealers and stop drug supply. #Sioh's goal is to defeat Pavel who are forcefully making him supply drugs. Namsoon when in undercover, noticed that Sio was interested in her, she pretended to be his friend and used him to get information. and succeed also. #A better storyline could be: Namsoon still uses Sio, but uses him in the right way. She could use him to catch Pavel. this could be Win-Win situation. but writers here are just useless, writing stories as a 5year old.
I really felt bad for woo seok(si-o) But I'm also happy for Nam-soon and Hee-sik. The only reason I"m watching this drama is for Woo seok and seong wu.
I just hope in the end she understands that she meant a lot to him and that she hurt him deeply with her lies. She doesn't have to like him, but at least have the realization that even with her best intentions she can cause someone, even someone bad, great pain
Her reaction to all the heartfelt things he shared with her did not make sense. Her reaction was especially off-putting when he shared with her how the mafia did not trust him, that they were bad people, and that he wanted to rise above them. I thought what he said was quite sad. It shows that he never viewed himself as one of them, the "bad" people. It would have been a good opportunity for her to inquire more. Another clue that he did not agree with them was that he could never understand why they executed traitors and didn't give them a second chance (of course that has now changed). But she had zero reaction, besides shrugging her shoulders and calling him bad names behind his back
That irked me as well! Just to imagine what he had to go through as a child, and how it made him into who he is.. you can’t be unaffected by that. Yet, she didn’t have an ounce of empathy for him. She could have brought him to light.

yes, he is a villain and a drug lord. But Namsoom and her family went into the lion's den and provoke him and played with his feelings... this was also a pretty shitty move by them. If you provoke a lion, and he strikes back, then you brought this on yourself. Pretty shitty plot. Ryo Shi-Oh's character deserved more.
Namsoon never liked him so my happy end would not have been them in a relationship tbh, unless the writers actually decided that she does like him but from last episode standpoint till the end it was one sided. It’s just so sad that the only character that made me keep watching the show had such a bad written ending… he is the most fleshed out character in the show a well written victim of grooming and they just kill him off, it’s a shame s2 would’ve been amazing with him
It's such a wasted opportunity. The plot twist of enemies to lovers would've elevated the story overall. When Si-o started to open up, there should've been some sympathy and curiosity on Namsoon's part. That's where it went wrong. Her reactions made no sense considering Namsoon's personality and character, it ended up dulling the actress's acting. The biggest wasted chance was through this possible relationship, be it enemies to lovers or enemies to friends, to challenge Namsoon's character and especially learn more about her powers? "Your powers must only be used for good ! Otherwise, you will lose them” But what is a good deed or virtue? Who decides? Let's say someone who is bullied or coerced to do something bad, and Namsoon is forced to take action? If during the time she was a spy, she actually had to protect Sio from something and use her powers? What happens? She is protecting someone bad but for a greater good under disguise? So she has a pass ?? If she had to actually prove herself and even do something bad for him? What then? So much opportunity for actual good internal conflict for these characters, with growth at the end. The big plot hole of Si-o not digging further about her should've been the biggest sign that this was not going to get better. The writers just dropped the ball on that one, although they had everything, truly disappointing.
I really feel bad for ryu shi oh , he wants to be good person but get the chance , first he abandoned by his parents, then he trusted some one she became his enemy, at last for the friend he waited for long he came to kill him. At last he choosed to die with dignity.
I was thinking of a better outcome would be a Romance between Ryu-Sio and Nam Soon but the mafia killing him because of the betrayal and he could die in her arms and she could received the comfort of the police male lead and give him an opportunity as a new boyfriend. So he would die trying to live an honest life. I think that if the directors wanted to have the policeman like the male lead. But I wished that Ryu-Sio would be the male lead with Namsoon and ship the policeman or detective to the girl that pretended to be Namsoon.
I think this could be a good drama if only they did not compress it into 16 episodes. I've noticed that when kdramas only have those exact episodes, the story becomes so compressed that they just want it to end quickly.
The only interesting guy , the past and present miseries he's facing .. the pain and loneliness... There hasn't been a moment i didnt skipped except him in the drama after he appeared and not JUST cause of his looks. So tired of saying it but will still say, this drama was viewed for him. The end , the horrible end... This woman would defeat pavel if they tried...her mom and granny and their connection and the net worth all could be used.. and save him from them.. I really, really really hope that in a couple of years that some writer that is not afraid of success picks up from the deaths this "traumatized villain that secretly just want to love and be loved" arc and do things right. A true and one and only enemies to lovers, love triangle but the cop is an asshole and police is corrupted and villain its more that what they seem. Just imagine the tension, the conflict. And the villain gets the girl and neither of them dies. It would be amazing, revolutionary, absolutely glorious. But i will have to wait tho. Kdrama writers/directors are not ready for traumatized villains. They are afraid of them.
I was never interested in this drama. I had already watched bong-min cameo on UA-cam. But then started watching when NamSio started having scenes together. Now that it is over, I have no interest in the last week episodes. Because I know what's gonna happen, nothing but a cliché. where the so called bad guy will go to jail, mafias will kill him in jail or something, and so called main leads and family will be reunited and get happy ending. The director had awesome chance of changing the ending, but wasted opportunity.
I didn’t like the female lead. His story fell upon deaf ears on her end. I seriously thought she would have developed at least something towards him. Or tried to bring him into the light.. The fact he stopped for a second with the gun when she screamed “No”.. made me cry.. he needed someone to care. We all feel for him because of Byeon Woo-seok’s amazing acting and charisma ❤️

yes, he is a villain and a drug lord. But Namsoom and her family went into the lion's den and provoke him and played with his feelings... this was also a pretty shitty move by them. If you provoke a lion, and he strikes back, then you brought this on yourself.

Namsoon never liked him so my happy end would not have been them in a relationship tbh, unless the writers actually decided that she does like him but from last episode standpoint till the end it was one sided. It’s just so sad that the only character that made me keep watching the show had such a bad written ending… he is the most fleshed out character in the show a well written victim of grooming and they just kill him off, it’s a shame s2 would’ve been amazing with him
It's such a wasted opportunity. The plot twist of enemies to lovers would've elevated the story overall.
When Si-o started to open up, there should've been some sympathy and curiosity on Namsoon's part. That's where it went wrong. Her reactions made no sense considering Namsoon's personality and character, it ended up dulling the actress's acting.
The biggest wasted chance was through this possible relationship, be it enemies to lovers or enemies to friends, to challenge Namsoon's character and especially learn more about her powers?
"Your powers must only be used for good ! Otherwise, you will lose them”
But what is a good deed or virtue? Who decides? Let's say someone who is bullied or coerced to do something bad, and Namsoon is forced to take action? If during the time she was a spy, she actually had to protect Sio from something and use her powers? What happens? She is protecting someone bad but for a greater good under disguise? So she has a pass ??
If she had to actually prove herself and even do something bad for him? What then?
So much opportunity for actual good internal conflict for these characters, with growth at the end. The big plot hole of Si-o not digging further about her should've been the biggest sign that this was not going to get better. The writers just dropped the ball on that one, although they had everything, truly disappointing.
So heartbreaking, I feel u, that the u one love the most is the one who betrayed u😭😭😭😭😭 my heart is in pain every time I watch this scene 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I really feel bad for ryu shi oh , he wants to be good person but get the chance , first he abandoned by his parents, then he trusted some one she became his enemy, at last for the friend he waited for long he came to kill him. At last he choosed to die with dignity.
I was thinking of a better outcome would be a Romance between Ryu-Sio and Nam Soon but the mafia killing him because of the betrayal and he could die in her arms and she could received the comfort of the police male lead and give him an opportunity as a new boyfriend.
So he would die trying to live an honest life. I think that if the directors wanted to have the policeman like the male lead.
But I wished that Ryu-Sio would be the male lead with Namsoon and ship the policeman or detective to the girl that pretended to be Namsoon.

I think this could be a good drama if only they did not compress it into 16 episodes. I've noticed that when kdramas only have those exact episodes, the story becomes so compressed that they just want it to end quickly.

I really, really really hope that in a couple of years that some writer that is not afraid of success picks up from the deaths this "traumatized villain that secretly just want to love and be loved" arc and do things right. A true and one and only enemies to lovers, love triangle but the cop is an asshole and police is corrupted and villain its more that what they seem. Just imagine the tension, the conflict.
And the villain gets the girl and neither of them dies. It would be amazing, revolutionary, absolutely glorious.
But i will have to wait tho. Kdrama writers/directors are not ready for traumatized villains. They are afraid of them.

I was never interested in this drama. I had already watched bong-min cameo on UA-cam. But then started watching when NamSio started having scenes together. Now that it is over, I have no interest in the last week episodes. Because I know what's gonna happen, nothing but a cliché. where the so called bad guy will go to jail, mafias will kill him in jail or something, and so called main leads and family will be reunited and get happy ending. The director had awesome chance of changing the ending, but wasted opportunity.
