Who is listening in 2024? This is still a genius album, great for inspiration each time we create new content. Definitely ahead of its time!
Bought this CD in the Summer of 2000 based solely on the album art. Still one of the all time electronic album greats, my fave within drum and bass overall.
Me! I just turned a friend to a new lover of Dieselboy/DNB by sharing this album
Listening right now. One if the greatest DnB mixes of all time. In my opinion.
I’m listening to this in 2124. Still relevant.
2024 crew in the house!! Whoop whoop! Drum and fucking Bass for EVER!!!
2023 and this still hits just right
Always have and will. till the end of days
DnB forever!!
Been blasting this since 2002. I discovered drum n bass thought a graffiti video.
Probably one of my all time fav d&b albums ever! 2nd disc too!
2023 and the intro still hits hard.
I've shown this mix to a number of random people in my life and NOT ONE appreciates this mix for the pure genius that it truly is. We know!
Timothy Bednarchuk Agreed!
seriously. it is genius!
Bro I remember slamming this CD on two 12"s back in high school
only 1 many girlfriends had the attention span to truly enjoy this work of art.
daniel floyd my one girl that understood this has been my lady for 17 years now
I haven't seen or listened to this album in 20 years but I remembered exactly what the name and cover art looked like and found it here. I remember this entire album in my head to this day. Now I am here with all of you beautiful people. I honestly don't know how I lived through the early 2000s. Grace of God.
as an American junglist who is passionate about DNB. there's only a few of us who can appreciate the non commercialized DNB!!!
Can't believe it's been 20 years since I owned this! I used to annoy all my friends with this album. It's pure genius!
Haha.My friends had no idea about this music and I would torture them with it! But the best time was when I was getting ready to sleep and putting my headphones on...complete immersion.
so cool
I still have the double cd in my car right now in pristine condition. hahaha
Congrats... You extra... The new world... Super Extra
@@kromeknifemindme too, it’s starched up as fucked but it plays
one of the best dnb mixes of all time. track selection and mixing is top notch
18 years later and I still listen to this mix
..20
Yup 5/2021 that's a hard copy
Still have the CD! So good.
Same dude. Same !!!! Still have the CD set 😂👍🏻😍

THIS is what got me into drum n bass..20+ years ago. it's been with me my whole life. because of this album
This and System Upgrade. Big up.
Yes so much so
Great sound. Great artwork, it's a masterpiece
Have you ever to this album?
@@mrclean62 Project Human still my fave. love anything by Dara and ak1200 too, planet of the drums bruh
I bought this CD on a whim back in the day. I had only just started listening to D&B. Blew my mind. I shared it with any and everyone. I wanted desperately to find someone that loved it as much as i did(and still do!). This is solid start to finish. So many wide eyes on that long intro!!😂 Ive luckily ran into folks who like it, only took me 20 years!😂
At least you found someone. I live in NYC where there are 8.3 million people and I feel like the lone voice in the wilderness.
Got into the scene in 98 and honestly this album gives me goosebumps. Did so many different drugs listening to this
you and me both bro. Same except I might have been a year or 2 veteran over 1998. Man that was a good year. Lots of trips to Dieselboys Resident Club 'Fluid'. Saw him there on Thursday's for what was DNB night and dubbed 'Platinum'
Tech itch, Sine, ak1200, Dara and a handful of other local DJ's mostly. outstanding. I went there mostly post 2000 though.
Lots of stuff at other Philly clubs like Shampoo, also went to a couple venues in DC and Baltimore
I got into ShyFX at first, then a friend played this album and in the late 90’s. I love metal and this was the metal of DNB…hard and sick transaction. I finally saw Dieselboy for the first at Respect in LA last year.
You and me also
I was in at 98 and never drugs .. the music is the drug
My 80 yo Dad called this album "It's just a bunch of noise that makes no sense" and I replied "That's why I love it so much"
Reminds me of when I played Aphex Girl / Boy song for my grandparents back in '95. The looks on their faces, man, haha.
I'm in my 20s and a guy 6 years older than me had the same reaction to some dnb/breakcore I showed him like a couple months ago, so I guess some people just aren't with it, ahah
@rusland9 I've always described that my brain works like those super bouncy balls. Except I got 1000 bouncing at the same time in my brain. Like instead of a 4 ball extra ball on a pinball game...make it 60 and start yelling holy crap. Well the music is some of the fastest bpm I have ever heard and I LOVE IT.
Back in the day when I used to rave in the 90’s I wasn’t a fan of drum n bass. I stuck to my techno and house. But I grew older I learned to appreciate it more and more. Now it’s in a regular rotation of mine
I will never forget this album! Took over me!! The best ever!!!! Time machine music!!! Oh the memories!!!
Me too Bl33ss you for knowing where your future is
Future music
Omg from jungle to breakbeat science, to drumn base, dubstep, chillstep, melodic dubstep, liquid dubstep. I'm 40 now this year but this album is definitely digital on my phone for life
Anyone still dig the ak1200 drowning cmon.
Drowning is a forever fave 🙌
@@nicholesanders6522 all around me. Yess drowning was the best. Ak1200.
I saw dieselboy ak1200 Sasha and the Dara complex back 2006. Best rave and my last rave. The OG edc b4 it was gone to Vegas
I’m 42 years old and I’ve been listening to this for about 20yrs now. Still amazing. I get some of them bass lines in my head from time to time. Love seeing the other passionate people bout this
How not to be stuck in the past when the past is this good
High School all over again. Such a dope mix
One of the best selling drum and bass albums ever. Absolute classic.
Jason's house party's
Cannot agree more. I used to slam.this through a klipsche pc surround system when I world of war crafted back when it came out. Best grinding music ever. This and DJ Dara.
I bought it... before listening to it!
Pc surround system? Bump? Nah, i had this playing on two 12 inch Sony explodes.... Had to glue the rear view back on!
@@labbeaj Same. So wild to think of how it used to be before everything became online digital sales. And before that, hitting various record shops looking for "that one" for the weekend. Good times.

drugs for days Hahahaha
Cleveland to Chi_town sůn!~°~
Heavy Metal is still a weapon... Tech Itch salute your work sir
I replaced a home stereo and speakers because I wanted the full true bass of this album. It was my first DnB album and had never heard of Dieselboy before but this album and all the others made him my favorite DnB DJ.
Remets les enceintes !!! Make some Noise !
I saw him live at nocturnal wonderland in empire polo field (called Coachella now)
Dieselboy was my breakfast, lunch and dinner of music. Listening to this right now has brought back nothing but great memories and some sick ass dance moves
Slowly quand même! Il a 17ans ce mix! "The destroyer" it's a great renouveau
I'm with ya 100% . I'm glad we got to witness this powerful of DnB selections, mixed flawless and effective by none other than the DIESEL BOY. if I only catch 1more dnb show in my lifetime, I'd be content with Dieselboy . Peace from Wi, USA
This whole album is coffee….OoooOoO!
20 years later its still banging hard! LOVE IT
I was in Atlanta when the masquerade steps collapsed they shut the club down and db went to a nearby club( the globe theatre) and gave a free show. To this day it's one of the most epic moments in my life thanks for that desielboy you will forever be my favorite dj
Simply the best! It’s wonderful to see so many people reminiscing about this mix. I’m not even that old (born in 2003), but even I have a pretty long history with this mix. Heard it back in freshman year of high school and it changed my life! It stuck with me all through my loneliest days and even now, 6 years later, I still adore it. It feels simultaneously nostalgic and open-ended… there’s always new sounds to discover within the beautifully constructed sequencing. And that last track by J Majik… so serene and futuristic, reminds me of playing Half-Life or Portal, or reading Asiimov.
Born 2002, i keep coming back to this mix a lot as well. I generally appreciate moving shadows older work a bit more, especially dom and technical itch, but dieselboy really does have a special sound.
Im 41 and rocked to this album since it came out. It’s beautiful that young folks appreciate this masterpiece. Let me know if you want to heard older sets of the 90’s and I’ll send you some recommendations.
52 here, just re-found this release last night when going through my collection, packing it up to remodel the home theater room.
I saw Dieselboy live when he released this record. It shook the entire building.
TECH ITCH - HEAVY METAL!
A whole masterpiece released ahead of its time.
Drum and bass is not dead it was lost in the minds and souls that did not fully appreciate it's pure Awesome Beauty. Never again!!! D'N'B Forever!!! Thank you!!!
never forget
wake them up...
its definitely not dead. the dnb is probably the most influential genres out there. incredibly underrated. the heart of dnb will carry on for a loooonnng time
It’s incredible how he just comes right out the gate with some incredible shit. The sound he achieved with this mix is none other. This is definitely my personal favorite Dieselboy mix. If you like futuristic sounding drum and bass this is the bees knees. No lie.
OMG.... My childhood 😍
My first experience with music like THIS...
And I lost.
Beloved.
For rest of life 💖
17:09 that drop used to kill it at parties and raves!
Introduced so many people to this style of dnb and they either love it or hate it.
I love it
This was one of my favorite cd’s!! ❤
That intro thought ! Jesus, this took me back!
Diesel. Best drum and bass mix ever. Always come back to this
Still one of my favorites to this day. Back then, there was nothing like it.
This album was the beginning for me, 2001, dude put cd 1 into a mac at job corps and said " you ever heard of diesel?"
My first non local dnb experience also
Wow, I just remembered this mix randomly from 20 years ago in high school. I forgot how 100% amazing every single track is. This mix got into electronic music in the 90s and 2000s
after all these years. still on of my favorite DRUM AND BASS MIXES EVER.. to some extent kind of sad the sound changed so much over the years. but I'm glad we have these mixes ..
Man, this is the future I was looking for.
Dieselboy a fait d'autres albums !
Je crois que celui ci etait un des meilleuirs !
Same here. 👍🏻
This is a masterpiece. Nothing hit as hard as this when it came out. Total mind fuck. I grew up listening to metal and this struck a chord. I remember I was so sick of seeing all the fake PLUR bullshit at all the parties. While I believed in the original ideal, SoCal had become so watered down. Too many very young kids and too many cops. The jungle scene was the one place that kinda gave refuge from a lot of that. Really the best people all around. Dieselboy got me into Shoegaze of all things. What a time
Fellow Metal head here 200% lol
It really is a masterpiece
Hey bro he's playing this weekend
SoCal baby
Dieselboy mixes always started hard and stayed that way. One of my favorite DJ's. Dara, AK1200, Soul Slinger all top notch
Yep. Dara is my buddy, and so is Carlos so I'm bias I suppose, but they all make(made), the stuff that I always had on. Period. BBS&Jungle Sky were my two most loved labels at that time. Who said stateside didn't run shit in it's own right are off there shit, or just don't know the FACTS.
Much love fellow junglist!
@@microbet.4081 Twisted Individual wrecked shop too.
I saw Dara Ak1200 and diesel boy do a triple tag team set in 1999-2000 when they were all on moonshine the label. I believe it was the moonshine across America tour. Was an incredible set. Also saw she micro for a dam good trance set, and keioki for a dope house set on that tour
PLANET OF THE DRUMS ❤❤
@@jaygibbs8677I think I saw that too lol
This album is still the hardest shit I’ve ever heard. I flash back to being 17 all over again. The 90’s were the sickest point of DMB and @disealboy FUCKEN nailed this it!
I was 27 when this came out and let me tell you
i saw this guy in Puerto Rico in the 90 in a forest name Rio Grande plantation,,,live is another history,,,intense deep into the heart, mdma all night
That sounds magical i could only imagine
I've seen him a few times in Atlanta in the late 90s
Also saw him there. I was only 15 but my older cousins took me to that party and well the rest was history. Been raving ever since and coming back to Drum and Bass time after time. I usually listen to prog metal like BTBAM but this is the music that I listen to when I am alone and working. Viva Puerto Rico.
There are a lot of great dnb mixes out there, but pound for pound, track for track, this one is a true journey, beginning to end.
Edward Avila automatically brings me back to the good ol club days of my youth... when extacy was good and should have been a mandatory handout at the front doors by promoters..lol I always stood by the main speakers and let it blow my brain apart.
I concur doctor.
Agreed!
One of the best mixes
This is a top 3 DnB album for me but Dara Future Perfect is the pinnacle for me with DeiselBoy 6th Sense & Project Human
I bought this double CD album many many years ago. It still reigns as top DnB album ever made. The rest of these muggles have no idea the dedication it takes to mix like this. ❤ you Diesel Boy!
I absolutely agree. 👍🏻
I don’t remember much of my party days growing up in Pittsburgh in the 90s but I remember the parties when Dieselboy was there, lol. This is an awesome find these years later!
I bought decks because of this mix. I even emailed dieselboy asking where to get “tech itch - the pusher”. He actually replied! My entire group of friends loved this mix. Classic
Here in 2023..........THIS DRUM 🥁 AND BASS 🔊 ALBUM will..........FOREVER BE TIMELESS!!!!!!!!!
I remember buying this cd in 98 or 99. still my favorite mix. best dnb dj ever.
+orisus77 This came out in late 2000. You might be thinking of "Soldier's Story."
Damn, this took me back. First girlfriend, first kiss, first job, first check bought a Cd player and this monster of a CD. I remember walking around with an attitude jamming drum n bass feeling misunderstood. The only thing that understood me was the music.
The pinnacle of jungle and drum n bass in the states, right hear.
2024 and still smashing the speakers!
This CD represents the era when D&B peaked. Just hard and dirty. The crowds got bigger after this but the rawness was never as raw and nervous as then. If i listen to D&b these days it' either this kinda stuff or the jazzier stuff from the late nineties. The wave that came after doesn't do anything for me. Pendulum killed D&B IMO (well his overly polished sound did anyway).
This! I organised d&b parties around that time. Looking back at it, this was definitely the peak era of interesting dark d&b subgenre. Got to meet and play with Micha from BSE, Mike from Evol Intent, Dom, Tech Itch, ... Good times!
It all sounds a bit too much alike nowadays but I'm sure the genre will come back fresh sometime, just like what happened to techno a few years ago.
absolutely, I still remember pendulum - vault being a hit, it was a lot of fun and everything but.. yeah, it did signal the end. though I guess that earlier record with the clownstep trumpetting elephant noises and everything was definitely a precursor to the downfall :p what artist/track was that again?
Should check out panacea!
It’s making a comeback baby jus you watch
@@barfbagradio4855 its starting to in the underground.Thats where it needs to be.Thats where it flourishes and survives.
rediscovering D N B lately, it's bringing me back
2024 Legit AF! Breaks, heat wtf you mean Dope forever.
This mix opens with messiah. Oh my goodness. Full speed ahead.
I used to ride my snowboard listening to this on headphones connected to a CD player that had a 15 second no skip.
One day the wind hit my ear phones on the chair lift and I swear this album got even better than it’s perfection. It was a memory I’ll never forget
This CD set was my introduction to drum and bass. And, I've been a dnb addict ever since. It's one of the rare CDs where I don't skip over a single track.
Thanks, Dieselboy! This is the kind of music I waited my whole life for!
Can't skip, beginning to end.
I remember this CD making a whole room of frying people jump out of their seat in shock when 3:02 kicked in
nice drug reference
Best comment ever!!
sonyexplora drugs? huh? naw man it was thanksgiving and we were having a deep frying turkey competition. many people had to go to the hospital
@@sonyexplora cringe. If you've never been there, you've never been there.
@@Defenseman61913 What do you mean never been there? I got the drug reference
This isn't just a great drum and bass mix, this is a great mix, fullstop.
Seeing Dieselboy rinse it in Cape Town 20 years ago completely changed my life.
I'll never forget that moment of being completely blinded by smoke and hearing Messiah's intro start...
Maximum respect to the Algorythm and Sublime boys and girls.✌
I really miss the Homegrown evenings at the old Mercury Live. RIP!
Thank you for reuploading this. This whole CD still gives me chills
This takes me back! Wow! Playing this as loud as I could in my RX7 late nites from 29 palms to phoenix early 2000. The bass hit hard and no way you are falling asleep!

This album is a classic slapper
I remember this and Ak 1200 from back when I got into the whole "scene" when I was a senior in high school. I'm from Florida so we were all into breaks but bought this after I saw these guys at cyberfest. Super dope mix.
I remember hearing this on the cable tv music dance station like which is known as the music choice now when this album wasn't released on cd yet. I couldn't wait til the cd was released. I would play this everywhere i would go. My parents would call it pot and pan music. Lol. But after hearing this i became hooked. Definitely one of my favorite dnb sets. I used to rave in the Pittsburgh rave scene and that being Damian's old hometown he would always be spinning there. Great times ill always cherish.
By far my all-time favorite DnB mix. There's not a single filler track on the entire album. The Messiah intro track still makes my head explode. I've probably listened to this cd over a hundred times by now.
The Descent/Invid mix will always be held close to my heart.
LOVE THIS. Saw Tech Itch live back in the good ol' days of partying in Austin, TX.
Was that the tech freaks tour with dylan, that show was dirt
Sophomore year of high school. This brings me back! This was the soundtrack to many family road trips for me. Headphones on of course.
Timeless classic drum and bass. This is my absolute favorite album by diesel boy
This is the best D&B album. I never in my life found better d & b. Never. I have 45.
I always love the intros, been a fan since my teens.... Love Dieselboy
real harcore an technical shit always reminded me of gundams
Dear God, "nanobugs" makes me feel like my skin is peeling off in sheets...song is kind of insane.
I remember when I found this one vinyl while on a trip to DC. Played it to death.
its not a dream. see biotech.
Put the acid DOWN!!!! LOL
Don’t know why Dieselboy don’t get more recognition, he’s the best of the best
Still a banger album! I remember picking this album up from the local music store along with the DJ Dara cd.
Finally, after 15 years I found it! I lost this mix back in freshman year high school. Do you guys have any idea how fucking hard it is to search a specific D&B mix, especially when you dont know any names of the track and the mix cd was a burned cd? It's pretty fuckin hard! I'm buying this, not letting this get away again!
+TomBrierly same exact thing with dj daras breakbeat science exercise 1, i bought it 15 minutes later, ik the feeling and am glad you were able to find the album!
+TomBrierly i should add, if you loved this one, give breakbeat science a listen if you havent already
+TomBrierly Hey man, I TOO :D realy nice again listen and better quality :D
Currently going through the same thing right now. Trying to find this one hour mix where the intro has samples of HAL 9000 in the beginning. Finding nothing but people's personal mixes using HAL, but nothing I remember :c
feel that
Man, I have always loved Nanobugs and I only just now looked it up and found out that Signal To Noise was a Dom + Roland alias. Mindblowing. Dom is the best.
I didn't know that. Thanx! Dom & Roland kills!
Can't wait for this to come out
I remember Orlando FL around 2000? Diesel Boy, AK 1200, & I think Dara? They were spinning 1 record each, 1 after the other in rotation. Insane night downtown Orlando. I don't think it was a planned night. So sick.
I think it was at cyberzone? Fuzzy memories
I am from Perth Australia and am convinced I had that set downloaded from limewire or somewhere and rinsed the thing on repeat !
That transition in 32 minute mark was so dominant during that time. Best times ever!!!
KontroooOOLLLL !!!
seen this live in LA back in early 2000s still Drumm n bass till today. PLANET OF THE DRUMMS. RUDE BOY STYLEE
This was my first introduction to DNB/Jungle. A friend randomly popped in the cd back when the 6th session had come out and I had absolutely no clue what I was getting myself into. It completely destroyed my mind. I thought I heard it all but never thought music could sound as progressive as DNB did back then. Today it’s totally played out for me but I will always remember this album as my love and appreciation for DNB/Jungle.
I’m 41 and partied when it was this sick. I wished it was still from the 90’s style
@@amazingwatcher678 Hey! We’re about the same age. I’m 42 now. I can’t believe it’s been a little over 20 years when I first heard this style of music. I still enjoy it today though.
Very few dj's can mix like dieselboy. Flawless skills. He is absolute perfection. It makes me wonder if hes half machine/ half human. Hes on a whole another level.
I was today years old when I found this Dieslelboy mix.
I swear, he put out more than I realized. It's always exciting to find new content from him. I have only been able to see him live once, and at that time I wasn't even really into DnB. However I remember walking in the main room where he was up to bat, and thinking "damn this side of drum and bass is fucking sick" and from there I discovered more DnB, jungle, neuro, liquid, etc and fell in love with the genre. Now it's all I spin. Still need to show my house and techno some love too once in a while.
I never comment but it's great to hear that this album really affected me. I'm 42 and I still love this genre and I love dubstep.
DB played this track at one of the planet of the drums in NC, opening track, everyone went f'n crazy. Id do anything to relive my old days. Ive seen Diesel Boy countless times, always a monster behind the decks. He works them non stop, doesnt quit, mad sweat, never still.
This shit is timeless brah. And DB added in such a thick bassline I can blast on my subs even today with people asking me what the hell im listening to.
Jesus this takes me back, my first rave in El Paso Tx was Destination Earth, and Dieselboy was a headliner, I've been into D&B since
C'est pas Dieu qui a fait cela mais bien un homme.
I heard diesel boys sometime in the early 2000s. During this time my introduction to drum and Bass was Ronnie size, LTJ Bukem and things like Adam F circles. I was used to the more ambient jungle style. Diesel boy introduced me to the more tech sounding drum and Bass.
Love all of them
unbelievable how awesome this album is
Oh 6ixth Session, we've found each other again. How I've missed you.
The first dnb I ever heard was in the video game midnight club and then I found dieselboy shortly after that. When I first started driving I was bumping this cd and all my friends were like “what the fuck is this” some of my friends never understood it, but some of them ended up getting super hooked on dnb after I showed them. Dieselboy was truly one of the best djs of all time. All the mixes he put out were legendary, this shit still slaps so hard to this day
DieselBoy is a Drum n Bass architect. Almost 30 years after making this album and it still hits like he made it yesterday!
Still banging of course. I saw Dieselboy at Electric Daisy Festival outside of LA in 1999/2000. Just throwing in my little bit lol..
this is perfect for a quarantine
I used to have/love this CD. I used to do so much with this. Thanks for putting it up!
Greatest DNB mix ever.
First heard this in like 99 its 2022 and still raging hard as fuck to it, classic!!
