I started watching your videos because Al Bladez said too, never thought it would be so informative and interesting to watch! You make very good content. Thanks, I learn a lot every video!
Maintenance is needed for sure! For those who were negligent, not mechanically inclined, and have glued their trimmer blade in place there is an easy fix. Wrap a towel soaked in denatured alcohol around the trimmer blade and let it sit for a while. If it hasn't freed up keep the towel wet and let it sit a bit longer... placing it in a plastic bag will slow down the evaporation. Given some time the denatured alcohol will dissolve the sap and thus avoid the need for disassembly. Once you get the blade freed up USE THE STIHL SPRAY. That spray really does work if used as recommended in the video. BTW, denatured alcohol will clean up chainsaws, clothing, automobiles and their windows, tool handles, your hands (avoidance is better!), and other things that have sap on them.... Sometimes denatured alcohol is sold as stove fuel or marine stove fuel. It is more effective and cheaper than the "wonder" products sold in the auto parts stores!
Thanks for helping out Al Bladez!😂❤ I don't even have a yard to work now that I've become an apartment dweller but I enjoyed your instructions. It's always nice to learn something new. Thanks again.❤😊
Just a homeowner here but always sprayed with silicone spray after each use then run to work it in. Seems to work well but will look into the Stihl spray. Great video and thank you!
So glad you put this video out because my. husband kept asking me where is the manual? Where is the manual? And I said, honey, it's in your library. Well, I said, there's probably a youtube video that shows you how to grease. the blade He thought you were supposed to take the rubber thing out. I'm so glad you share this. Now I can show him how to do it the right way. I did.

Thank you! My STIHL 56 has been frozen up! Loosening up those screws and separating the blades go me back to GO! I am sooo behind on hedge work.
