Villiersdorp is also without power for 2 days now. Wednesday 27 September. In Villiersdorp are 2 persons dead and they are looking for 3 more. News not so accurate. We are in Villiersdorp
The electricity cut off on Monday at 04h, and it has been off ever since, there is no cell phone reception, everything is off... Unless you have a landline(?) or a messenger pigeon, you have no communication. wonderful that you have news via Facebook etc to keep the families from beyond informed, unfortunately your people there cannot see it, or phone in for help, cause all the cell towers are down..... There is also no water.... so it would be great if electricity can be restored.
Good Lord - it's good to have competent people in charge.
