This story of Titanic teachs us few things- 1. Don't be so overconfident, 2. Never ignore other's warning, 3. Never compromise your safe for time, Last but not the least 4. Don't challenge the almighty
1. They weren't overconfident. 2. They never ignored warnings. Measures were taken. First they changed course of far south route, which was less expected to have icebergs but a rare phenomenon bought icebergs to that route. Icebergs should've had melted before reaching the south route but it didn't. The rest of the warnings they got didn't put bergs in their direct path. The warnings of exact icefield Titanic encountered didn't reach the bridge, got mixed up in the backlog of messages created due to Marconi apparatus repair. 3. What compromise? If you're implying speeding, they didn't go full speed. Bit fast but not full speed. Other captains testified they would've done the same as captain Smith did. It was standard practice to pass potential dangerous waters as fast as they could and only stop if something dangerous was spotted. And Ismay never asked to speed up for records. Titanic or any of the 3 I'll class ships were built for speed. Ismay suggested a speed test next day, which was quite common. 4. Is almighty cruel enough to kill 1500 innocent souls just because somebody challenged him? You are making almighty look bad. Don't.

I went to Southampton, the departure port of Titanic. This was to feel the history as I was really eager to know more about Titanic. However after seeing the plaques, berth 44 of Southampton port, the pubs where sailors used to drink and celebrated as they got a job to be proud of, I rather felt nothing but pain. Most of the crew members were from Southampton (724 out of 908 crew members). It was believed that there were no such streets in Southampton which had not lost a son, or a father in that fateful night of April 15th 1912.

You forgot the infamous book written few decades back around 1898 that was called " The Wreck Of The Titan " that spoke of an unsinkable Ship called " Titan " sinking in the Atlantic after hitting an ice-Berg that practically foretold the future that was about to happen a century later!
How the Mail Steamer Went Down in Mid Atlantic by a Survivor" is a short story that was published in the 22 March 1886, issue of the Pall Mall Gazette by the English investigative journalist and newspaper editor William Thomas Stead. sad part of this story is writer t sted were present in titanic and he died
Actual mein confidence ya overconfidence wali koi bat ni ha weather ki conditions ki waja se ice block nazar ni aya aur ship hit kr gya aur us ny sink hona hi tha
Dhruv extraordinary video am an engineer onboard for the past 13years excellent explanation iam impressed when u took to Solas regulations, there are lot more reasons as design aspect which made it sinkable especially she was a riveted vessel and no segregated water tight bulkheads and none of the engineers came out of titanic they gave their life trying to run her until last moment and because of that we have a purple line in our eppulattes. Keep it up bro very detailed video hats off to your commitment.
it was probably the most tragic incident ever for humanity and that's why the more we talk we still can't get over it even after over a century.. tbh i personally feel so much connected everytime i listen the story and it always gives me goosebumps 😭
The line hit differently "It didn't take even 3 hours for the unsinkable ship to sink" .It was just a warning from mother nature that never mess with her
You're here with your mother nature slogans but in which sense did titanic tried to mess with nature? Or is it even part of some bad things or bad people? Come on man just accept the fact that sometimes nature can be cruel too even with the innocent ones !
One thing you forgot to mention is that as soon as the cowardly owner of the Titanic, Joseph Bruce sensed danger he jumped on the lifeboard and ran away, setting an example of cowardice. Captain Edward Smith of the Titanic, on the other hand kept on aboarding people on lifeboats until the last moment and was the last person on the Titanic to jump into the water when the ship was about to sink completely or stayed on the ship and got sinked with it and to salute the same spirit of bravery his statue still stands in Britain today.
J Bruce Ismay was ordered in the last collapsible lifeboat by Chief Officer Henry Wilde. Bruce Ismay was criticised as coward by a certain American newspaper tycoon who wanted to settle old scores with him. Just read the book "The Ismay Line". Ismay had helped in loading women abd children in the lifeboats.
wouldn't you wanna save others and yourself too or just accept your fate to die. In Bruce books he had told a different story nobody know the truth what happened. Captain did stayed that's a heroic act but that doesn't make the owner vilian
I am working in merchant Navy and the information you put on this video it's true ur information about SOLAS about safety in ship this incident changed the shipping industry. Keep giving information and your hardwork to give information to everyone it's very good
Relevance in today's World - 1. Work pressure of top management creating safety issues.(Direction given - not to lower the speed) 2. Boss is not always right. (Unsinkable ship) 3. Don't panic when something goes wrong ( turning the wheel in right instead of left) 4.lastly and most important - Don't be OVERCONFIDENT ( At start life boat carrying only half capacity thinking unsinkable)
1.There was no order given to speed up. They followed standard protocols, that is to maintain speed and pass potential dangerous waters as fast as they could and only stop if they saw something serious. All the captains who testified in the inquiries said they would've done exactly what Smith did. 2. Nobody said she's unsinkable. She was called practically unsinkable and spread and exaggerated as Unsinkable. 3.Helmsman didn't panic and turn opposite side. They followed tiller commands at that time. In tiller commands, turn to starboard (right) means to turn to port (left) and vice versa. 4. There were less number of lifeboats because the purpose of lifeboats were different back then. It was used to ferry passengers from sinking ship to rescue ship, not hold everyone for a long time. By law , Titanic had 4 additional boats. No ships at the time had enough lifeboats for everyone.
After so many information at 4:19 the introduction comes. I love how you change your intro according to the topic. Your quality of vdos r seriously improving. Wish all the best DR.
These are the iknd of videos I really like to watch no politics,no toxic discussion how ever these are also important things to talk about...but still planes, ships...
The main reason for this accident was that metal became brittle at so low temperature, thats why ice could cut through the metal body of the ship. Materials science was not so advanced then and this incident opened up many research topics in this area.
Hello Dhruv!! A small request. Kindly mention sources in the description so we can read or watch the cuts you have put in your videos in detail. You are doing a great job!!!
From past 3 years I'm very much into this thing called Titanic , I've explored every micro details about this ship ,it really is deep , I'm speechless that the feeling is badly nostalgic even I dream about floating in the water sometime up sometime in the abyss. It is scary.
Jesus Christ loves you. He died for our sins on the cross, got buried and on the third day rose back to life. ““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” John 3:16-18 ESV This Abyss you’re talking about is where the devil will be bound for 1000 years. “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven holding the key to the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the thousand years were completed. After that, he must be released for a short time.” Revelation 20:1-3 CSB Therefore, what you need to do is:- “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38 CSB
Hi nice to hear about your interest in Titanic. I am also a Titanic enthusiast and have loved everything about her since 1998. I have a huge collection of White Star Line and Cunard memorabilia and postcards. But my favourite will always be the RMS OLYMPIC, the Titanic's elder sister-ship.
@@phebinjoy1449 Jesus pbuh was just a servent and messenger of Allah .... So , he is no god neither he's the son of God ... May Allah guide you mislead people ...
A few more points to note here - these are mainly based on the interviews of titanic survivors 1) Many people thought the ship was unsinkable and they were more scared of getting into those small lifeboats esp. since the ship itself was about 10 or so stories high and those lifeboats were lowered into the sea below. So, getting into a small swinging lifeboat which was being lowered 10 stories below into turbulent waters - people felt more safe on the ship. So the first few boats that were lowered did not have passengers to its full capacity. 2) Panic among the people actually started when there were no lifeboats left and everyone realised that the boat was sinking. People who were on the lifeboats were rowing away to avoid the suction that will be created when the ship finally goes down under the water but, they could hear the yells, screams and the commotion of the people within the ship trying to get out and find a safe exit. 3) Finally when the ship sank completely there was complete silence and complete darkness since the lights from ship was the only light in the ocean. The experience was so traumatic that when survivors were interviewed in the 1980s -1990s they said they still get nightmares from it.
4) Most survivors were women and children... So when they told people that the ship broke in two before sinking no one believed them and it was considered as mass hysteria or something. But it was confirmed after the wreckage was discovered that they were telling the truth.
Druv you are genius I have seen many episodes of yours. Your way of explaining is quite simple and interesting You both are made for each other Perfect couple
The ship's designer Thomas Andrews actually suggested 48 lifeboats instead of 20 but Bruce Ismay (chairman of White Star line) rejected it on the ground that it would've ruined the deck's view of the ship. Andrews further suggested that the water tight compartments should be higher (up to B-deck) but they reduced their height (up to E-deck) to create more space for the first class passengers. Also, Fredrick Fleet and Lee (spotter at the crow's nest) didn't have binoculars despite requesting multiple times they couldn't get them because they were left locked in a cabin inside the ship itself and the keys were left with the another staff member, Fleet in an interview stated that if they had binoculars that night they would've spotted the iceberg soon enough to prevent the tragedy. In 1965, Fredrick Fleet committed suicide by hanging himself as he was depressed from the tragic event.
Dude. Please don't say source is tiktok and the movies. Get your facts right. Titanic had enough lifeboats based on the board of Trade regulations at the time. Ships above 10000 gross tonnage required 16 lifeboats. Titanic actually had 4 additional. They planned to add more once the laws changed in the future. Ismay wasn't a villain as portrayed in mainstream media. There are no records that Thomas Andrews wanted to raise the water tight bulkheads higher. That's just made up and popularized. They thought the worst case scenario would be 4 consecutive compartments being flooded. Also it's a passenger ship not a battleship to raise and close the tips of the compartments. It reduces passenger space. Still they raised it to C deck after sinking of Titanic. Lookouts weren't issued binoculars. Naked eyes are better to have a wide view and eyes adjust better in dark. Binoculars wouldn't have made much difference. In fact, that locked pair wasn't the only one on board. There were ither binoculars available. Binoculars limit the field of vision. It's used to identify an object after spotting with naked eyes. Fleet and Lee never "requested". Fleet said binoculars would have been useful but that was survivor's guilt speaking. Also he was the obvious scapegoat as he was the one that spotted it. He could've even said this to shift the blame.
@@irneaa I'll simplify it. Number of Lifeboats were adequate according to laws. And the purpose of lifeboats wasn't to hold everyone but ferry passengers. Thomas Andrews, the designer never asked to raise the height of watertight compartments. It's a myth like other myths revolving around Titanic. Binoculars wouldn't have made much difference. And there were binoculars in the ship other than the locked ones. Basically, fact checking the myths spreading about Titanic. Read my previous comment in detail again.

Yep it's sad for the people living there who had their family members on titanic
Nice.
I actually went to the place where it was made, Harland and Wolff in Belfast.

This story proves that there is a very thin line between Confidence and Overconfidence. If you are Overconfident then you will be definitely sink.
I knew someone was gonna say that
Absolutely right 💯✅
Yes bro 🙌
Actual mein confidence ya overconfidence wali koi bat ni ha weather ki conditions ki waja se ice block nazar ni aya aur ship hit kr gya aur us ny sink hona hi tha
But there was no over confidence the press said the ship was unsinkable not white star line , it said that she was practically unsinkable
The reason of the tragedy is only one term "unsinkable"

The line hit differently "It didn't take even 3 hours for the unsinkable ship to sink" .It was just a warning from mother nature that never mess with her
Compared to other sinkings, 3 hours was a big deal. Most ships would've capsized within an hour.

Relevance in today's World -
1. Work pressure of top management creating safety issues.(Direction given - not to lower the speed)
2. Boss is not always right. (Unsinkable ship)
3. Don't panic when something goes wrong ( turning the wheel in right instead of left)
4.lastly and most important - Don't be OVERCONFIDENT ( At start life boat carrying only half capacity thinking unsinkable)

The main reason for this accident was that metal became brittle at so low temperature, thats why ice could cut through the metal body of the ship. Materials science was not so advanced then and this incident opened up many research topics in this area.
Just chill

There's no proof that the metal used was, in any way, inferior

From past 3 years I'm very much into this thing called Titanic , I've explored every micro details about this ship ,it really is deep , I'm speechless that the feeling is badly nostalgic even I dream about floating in the water sometime up sometime in the abyss. It is scary.
Jesus Christ loves you. He died for our sins on the cross, got buried and on the third day rose back to life.
““For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
John 3:16-18 ESV
This Abyss you’re talking about is where the devil will be bound for 1000 years.
After that, he must be released for a short time.”
Revelation 20:1-3 CSB
Therefore, what you need to do is:-
“Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 2:38 CSB

Bro,give a raise to your researchers. Very informative and graphically complete video.
A few more points to note here - these are mainly based on the interviews of titanic survivors
1) Many people thought the ship was unsinkable and they were more scared of getting into those small lifeboats esp. since the ship itself was about 10 or so stories high and those lifeboats were lowered into the sea below.

Woah that's actually very sad. Rest in Peace
I think you have a lot of spare time. Too long
I read story in 4th
*The Unsinkable Ship*
@@gokulgopan4397What??
@@irneaa I'll simplify it.
Number of Lifeboats were adequate according to laws. And the purpose of lifeboats wasn't to hold everyone but ferry passengers.
Thomas Andrews, the designer never asked to raise the height of watertight compartments. It's a myth like other myths revolving around Titanic.
Binoculars wouldn't have made much difference. And there were binoculars in the ship other than the locked ones.
Basically, fact checking the myths spreading about Titanic.
