    Thank you Don! This was just what I needed to repair my cracked glass. But I found the ribbon cable instructions at 3:13 hard to follow and suggest "The brown cable cap rotates up and to the left, releasing the ribbon cable to come out to the right from underneath the cap." Hope this helps others, and thanks again. - WA6NDR

    All these radio companies should inset those screens a bit so they don't get like that in the first place. Yaesu sets theirs in from the body enough that the screen doesn't get contacted every time the radio lays on a flat surface or rubs against something that can scratch it. I have put thin screen savers on my icoms and d74s to keep them from getting damaged like that.

    Just curious how the scratches on the sides of the body disappeared right after you cut back in after getting all the gunk off at 6:08. Did you somehow remove the deep scratches from the sides of the body or did you get a new one?

    A couple years ago, I bought 10 (ten) front glass replacements for my TH-F6a just in case. I've not needed them yet. I wonder how hard that's going to be. I'm real careful with it, so no need so far.
