I'm an old DJ and FOH engineer... In my opinion, when you look at the totality of his work, his complete independence, and the ability to go outside of his comfort zone, in my opinion makes him one of the most significant artist of a generation.

Great reaction. Tom always has a way of saying what is going on. Lots of people are not comfortable about that & dislike him for that. I will always appreciate what he is serving because doesn’t matter if he is singing or rapping, he calls the BS out for both sides.

Tom helped me to release all my anguish, sorrow, worries and the tears I have been keeping bottled up with this beautiful song.
I have two of my sons in the military, two young boys at home and my husband who is a veteran who thankfully was able to survive and come back home alive to his family.
These wars are not about protecting America. It’s about pure greed, power and hate.
We need to do something about it.
A whole generation is at risk.
And I won’t be able to handle it if my sons get deployed and killed just for the politicians and billionaires greed.
I am just a very concerned mom and a very worried citizen.
Praying is not enough. I wish we could get United and do something to stop the bloodshed.

I love this song, it comes from the heart. This is amazing and what we need more of right now. He wrote and filmed this in the past couple of weeks so he's talking about everything that's currently going on. However, I think this song can apply to so many situations. The US has been in active conflict in some form or other for decades now, and that's just us. What about the rest of the world? There's never been world-wide peace.

I love Tom‘s music because it reminds me a lot of the music back in the 60s from the Vietnam era. He talks about from the heart of what’s going on around him in the world that we live in tries to give people the visual so it can be heartfelt.
LOL... I concur, well said... The music takes me back to 60-70 folk stuff, pretty simple but so deep. The message, I'm old and have been awake my whole life... It is like watching an intentional train wreck in slow motion, knowing of the gaslighting.

The first time I heard Tom, I didn't think I liked him. A few days later, I gave that first song by him a second chance, and now, I love his music! Great reaction to this one! I am guessing that when Tom wrote this song. He had the military in mind especially considering that he dropped right on Memorial Day. He also put out a short where he took the whole second. Verse and personally dedicated to the military men and women who have died. So far every year, Tom has put out something special or done. Something special for veterans or for Memorial Day where he donates. Or he does something just for them. This year, I believed he donated somewhere close to a $147000 to a veterans charity. I could be wrong on that number. But I know it was at least a 100 in 40K. Maybe higher all from a shirt that he had sold specifically to his fans for the vets.. And I do believe that you're right. Unfortunately, I hate to say it. But the only way I see America going back to the way America used to be is if people actually stand up and start watering the Liberty tree. Sorry it's just gotten to the point where our government is so corrupted. They don't even bother to hide it anymore. And that means they don't think that we have any power to stop them. History shows us that tyrannical governments do not step down. They have to have the power wrested from their hands.

But DJT is the person who God chose (yes, I am Christian), and he is smarter than many understand. I voted for him, also, twice, also, and plan to keep on doing so as long as i keep breathing. Yes, I served from 98 to 04 and the last year in Iraq before I came home to a growing divide in our culture regarding politics and patriotism. Despite the overwhelming misguided support for the war, I think the division began after we dug in in the Middle East.

The heartbreaking wails of the widows and children when presented the flag are the most heart-breaking sound I have ever heard and will never forget. I haven’t heard these words from anyone since I was is Ft Knox. It’s great to hear. A lot of people don’t understand that our freedoms are more important than the people alive in this country right now. Because the world we create today is the world our descendants will grow up in. Their descendants, and theirs too. If we lose our rights and our freedoms it’s chaos. That chaos that so many places around the world feel every second of every day.
I didn’t serve but I do wonder if I made the right decision every day. I told my recruiter that we need more hero’s on domestic shores.. but now I’m not so sure.

Yeah. I've never been down range but my father had (WWII and Korea) and he worked with many who had as well, all the way up through Vietnam. I've worked with plenty of younger guys who've been in the Sandbox. I don't like what I'm seeing and I grew up during the Cold War.
