thank you from oklahoma..that was the most helpful guitar lesson i have had in quite awhile and a great reinforcing of my musical ethos ...you said everything i believe as well as what I wanted to know.....again thank you ....and throw some red dirt on it and keep goin..
great lesson great riff...what is it you use for the drumlike sound you have when demo it? Hope for more killer riffs cause they sound really cool. thanks best regards micael
Hey Patrick, thanks for the kind words. Well, YT keeps changing things - it used to be a lot clearer, in my opinion. I guess the best way would be to click on the clayhorsemusic link on any of the videos and go to the channel, then click on "videos".
Hey, thanks solidranger. We do "Choctaw Bingo" in the band and it's always a lot of fun to play. I might be able to hook a recorder up to the board sometime and get a cut, and if I do I'll PM you. Cheers, Bruce.
Nah man you just take a long time to get what he is saying 😂 this man is packing multiple muting techniques, different ways of hitting power chords, and way more cool stuff I'm too much of a rookie to fully appreciate. And he is doing it in a one song lesson.
More useful information than I've heard on a hundred UA-cam guitar lesson videos.
Man I love Choctaw Bingo! James McMurty tells such a great story.
Love this. Have it booked marked. James McMurtry is badass. One of my favorite songwriters. Thanks!
Kool
This is great! I can hear Billy Gibbons vibes in it as well as RWH and JM. Really awesome, thanks.

Man what a great teacher you are. I don't know if you teach guitar for a living but you ought to. Well done man.
What a great tutor you are. Clear and concise. Thank you.
Great little riff and progression. I have to try this when I get home from work. Cheers!
It’s a killer groove , thanks. Nice Gibson - great riff.
Great video, loved picking up some of these ideas. Thanks!
What awesome advice about the set up and simplicity. Thanks a bunch.
What a great groove, Bruce! The A5 chord with the open G string, very cool way to get that 7th in there.
Thanks, for sharing!
Dave

Thanks, Micael. That drum sound was from the Boss RC-300 Loop Station, Simple Beat 1. Just wanted something to act like a metronome. More to come! :o)
Thank you very much for posting this. Love Choctaw bingo, always thought it was in open tuning.
It has tuning and a capo, Cornbread told me what it was.
So what is it?
Double Drop D Capo 1
you look like walter white in this video ;) cheers and thanks for the lesson!
Sounds like it too.
Great! Thanks man!
Hi Bruce, love the video! Also love your lessons on the RC-300. Where can I find the whole series instead of randomly finding them on youtube?

Hi Bryan Cranston!!
You have a resemblance to Walter White in this video. Great Music Clay.
Saludos desde España.
great!!! tnx!
:o)
The riff allows a narration of a story just like McMurtry does it
Dude just show how to play it😂
you sure know how to waste time before getting to the point
