বাংলা কবিতার ইতিহাসে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কবিদের নাম যদি একত্র করা যায়, তবে সেই তালিকায় অবশ্যই ঠাঁই পাবেন আধুনিক বাংলা সাহিত্যের উল্লেখযোগ্য কবি নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তী (Nirendranath Chakraborty)। নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তী কবিতা ছাড়াও, প্রবন্ধ, উপন্যাস, ছড়া ইত্যাদি লিখেছেন এবং পাশাপাশি তিনি দীর্ঘকাল ধরে পত্রিকা সম্পাদনার কাজও করেছেন। অনুবাদের কাজেও সিদ্ধহস্ত নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তী টিনটিনের মতো বিখ্যাত কমিক সিরিজের অনেকগুলি অনুবাদ করেছিলেন। 'ভাদুড়ি মশাই' নামে প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের জন্য এক গোয়েন্দা চরিত্রও তৈরি করেছিলেন । তবে এত কিছুর পরেও মূলত কবি হিসেবেই তাঁর আত্মপ্রকাশ এবং সর্বাধিক পরিচিতি। নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তীর লেখা "উলঙ্গ রাজা", "কলকাতার যীশু", "অমলকান্তি" ইত্যাদি কবিতা কবিতাপ্রিয় বাঙালির কাছে আজও সমাদৃত। নীরেন্দ্রনাথ লিখেছিলেন 'নীরবিন্দু' নামে এক অসাধারণ আত্মজীবনী। সাহিত্য আকাদেমির মতো পুরস্কারে সম্মানিত হয়েছিলেন নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তী।
২০২৪ সালে নীরেন্দ্রনাথ চক্রবর্তীর জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে সববাংলায় এর শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি এই ভিডিওটি।
Biography of Nirendranath Chakraborty

Nirendranath Chakraborty, a notable poet, is a prominent figure in Bengali literature. Apart from writing poetry, Nirendranath Chakraborty also wrote essays, novels, rhymes, etc. and also edited magazines for a long time.
Nirendranath Chakraborty also translated several famous comic series like Tintin. Also created a detective character for adults called 'Bhaduri Mashai'. But despite all this, his debut and greatest recognition is mainly as a poet.
Nirendranath Chakraborty's poems like "Unga Raja", "Jesus of Calcutta", "Amalkanti" etc. are still appreciated by poetry-loving Bengalis. Narendranath wrote a remarkable autobiography called 'Nirbindu'. Narendranath Chakraborty was honored with awards like Sahitya Akademi.
