These people are just lazy and selfish. The first thing I think when I see someone who is morbidly obese or so overweight they have health problems, breathing or just walking is "your poor family" It must be frustrating to be close to them. They prob tried to help them change something but if they don't want to it will never happen. Imagine parents that can't play with their young children because they get out of breath just walking. They can't really do much with their children due to their weight, which they can change. Or in some cases when the children have take the mothers place because she can't do it anymore. Or later when health comes to get them their family has to take care of them and help them. I wouldn't want that, no one wants that. That's why these people are so disgusting to me. And on top of that they are trying to teach others it's okay and should be celebrated if you live your life like this. Because f all the other people in your life

I had a bad relationship with food. Like any relationship, it could be brilliant and glorious, or screaming and crying. But it was also broken. Had to be fixed. And from the inside, I couldn't see how.
A friend helped me. Told me some things. They helped. Dropping the guilt was a big one. I was raised by parents who'd been poor in a way I'd never understand. Who'd actually been hungry. For whom wasting food was practically a capital crime, So I was made to clean my plate and punished if I didn't.
Took a while to deal with that, even when I could see it properly. Still am. But, hey, was 350, now closing on 250, so there's that. Eat less, move more, repeat as required. That's it.
Wishing all well who are dealing with similar. It's a war, not a battle.

    • @TheKrispyfort
      @TheKrispyfort 18 днів тому +1

I was raised with a "restricted diet" (eat what you're given, all of what you're given, and you WILL be grateful for it) too.
Got out on my own for the first time and didn't my diet get absolutely gutted. And then I got ill, so cleaned up my diet to a more adult variety.
But, the reason for my excessive adipose tissues was two pronged attack - abdominal wall ruined after third live birth, followed by being given psychotropic drugs. Went from size 10 to size 18 in 18 months.
Eventually went off the medications because they were making me useless, and shed a lot of weight, but I am not able to shift the rest because it's protecting my internal organs from hernia due to the damage to the abdominal wall that Medicare won't cover the repair surgery for because the damage was acquired by growing another human. Apparently, if I'd eaten myself silly and then rapidly lost weight - that's covered by Medicare. But because my abdominal wall was compromised by growing another human being, the reparative surgery is considered cosmetic.
I'm glad diet and exercise worked for you. That's the easiest course of action.
REMEMBER, just because that's what worked for you does not mean that is what will work for everyone.

8:56 this is the type of thing that really offends me.. i’m a woman who was born without a uterus and it is absolutely disgusting how discriminatory this term is. according to these people, not having a uterus means you must not be a biological woman even if you were born with literally all the other things that make you a woman. this is fucking sickening and unbelievably sexist. it’s like saying people without legs are not real humans because humans are meant to have legs. in this case, they’re saying those who are supposed to be born a woman are not real biological women because they cannot have babies and if they can’t have babies, what use do they have as a woman? i’m seriously pissed.

What makes me mad is how they are being taught socialism or Marxism is a godly gift or theory and capitalism is hell on earth and that is coming from me being a socialist myself. I hate how idiotic socialism looks these days because it really isn’t a gift from god it is just an ideology such as how capitalism is an ideology as well. Also, it’s kind of ironic considering how they want a fully equal world and free thought and stuff yet they try to make everyone think the way they think. In fact, all of this is exactly like a Stalinist regime and also could be called a fascist regime. Universities are just indoctrination these days and don’t teach jack shit about anything about anything and instead are teaching socioeconomics (if you could even call it teaching because it is just trying to indoctrinate them into their own fake socialism) rather than actually teaching them actual health and medical studies. This isn’t a campus for learning, this is a campus for fascists to take control of the gullible minds of university students and teach them their so called “socialism” because it feels good.

If you're living on the streets, you can still get help in the states too. If you do to the ER, they have to treat you. They can't turn you away because yo'u're broke and they even have services/programs for it where you fill out forms if you can't pay. The only downside is that other people pick up the tab, which is what happens anyway with socialsm, so in some sense, we already have it to some degree here.
I also don't think anybody has an issue with helping if the people are in accidents or have legit issues that are not self inflcted like obesity is, but nobody wants to pay for people's gluttonous habits landing them in the hospital with other diseases.

When I see someone who is morbidly obese, I think about how much more difficult everyday life must be. It seems like even basic stuff would be a chore. I went through a fat phase some years ago and hated how I looked. It drove me to lose weight and improve my life.

Congrats on this! The same thought is always running through my mind whenever I look at these people. I'm (not critically) underweight, but since I've had juvenile arthritis since around the age of one (I'm now 24), my body at times feels like it belongs to an elderly woman, especially my knee joints. And they only have to carry the weight of a 95lbs body, I don't want to imagine how exhaustive it must be to exist in a body that's 2-3x as large, or even more.

JFC being fat is NOT good. these people need to take responsibility for themselves and change.
I never thought I was healthy when i was getting fatter and fatter. it took far too long for me to hit my breaking point, but once I did, I started losing and feeling better.

This is why Socialized Healthcare is not good. As someone who takes care of my health and barely goes to the doctor!! Why do I have to work & pay a high percentage from my tax dollars for People who burden the Healthcare system & who refuse to take care of their health!!

Socialised healthcare works very well in Countries that have it. Did you know that most people who claim bankruptcy in USA do it because of medical debt? It shouldn't be just the rich people who can get good healthcare. Part of looking after your health means doctor visits.

I guess we could look like America instead and have ppl being turned away from hospitals after a car accident because they have no insurance. Or if the hospital does save their lives they send them a $120000 bill because every single department needed to save that person's life like the xray department, operation theatre etc etc etc sends a separate bill???

    • @brookereed1165

Alot of people do not understand most people now can NOT afford health care anymore where as it used to be affordable. The Healthcare is NOT FREE!! I know a ton of blue collar people who actually work but they are in the bracket where they "the government" says they make to much money to get the "free healthcare" & they CANNOT afford the insurance from their jobs. It was feed & shelter their families or Healthcare! I have to pay over 800$ a month. So I am sorry I do not agree with shared Healthcare! And then you have these idiots who burdens all of us and makes the insurance go up cause they are always at the doctor!!

Speaking as a Californian, yes the state has gone downhill. It all started when Reagan, while governor, shut down all the sanitariums and then declared he solved the mental health problems in Cali while all the patients were put on the streets. Shortly thereafter we started having homelessness problems. I digress though, when you said Cali is the worst state I feel I must remind you of Florida, and the ongoing tales of Florida Man and also his kin Florida Woman, sometimes even Florida Couple. We are only half as bad as Florida, although it is rising.

I was 300 lbs. My weight had been a problem for so long that my hormonal balance actually changed. Whenever I would lose weight to try to go to a normal weight, my body would actually believe that I was starving and I would gain the weight back extremely easily. It became so difficult to lose weight that my doctor recommended I get a stomach surgery which would help with my shifty eating habits, as well as help my hormonal balance adjust back to the norm. It's been 2 years, I've stayed consistently at about 195-205 lbs for over a year now. I won't say I'm the healthiest I've ever been, because I know I don't have the greatest day to day habits, but I definitely don't have many of the same issues that I used to have beforehand. People glorifying obesity, and trying to make it seem like fat phobia is actually a real issue, is just making things so much worse.
