I wish sonic frontiers didn’t confine us to one air boost at a time. It would have made the cyberspace levels like these better to traverse.

Really just goes to show how the physics in Frontiers was such a step backwards from Generations. But that’s been an issue due to the existence of Lost World.

It kind of hurts to see this, and I don't think it has anything to do with it being a demo, and more with it being Sonic Frontiers mechanics/physics. Generations is much better suited to these types of stages to keep things quick and snappy, but if we are going to stick with the more open style mechanics, I sincerely believe the next Sonic game needs to have movement more like Rollin Rascal, because things are way too stiff as is. And relying on the overpowered spin dash or rail jumping tech alone is just not going to cut it.
But I know a lot of people disagree with me, so I'm curious what everyone else thinks.
100% agree, Frontiers' mechanics/physics are so much more stiff compared to Generations' it's not even close. The homing attack having delay, not being able to boost into enemies anymore, where do I even start?

I think it's the animation not the physics actually that your complaining about I've seen modders use the physics and change the animation and its better that way

@@zf10studios52 i will never get how frontiers can be played without physics mods, its fine vanilla but the second I got mods working that even reintroduced the spinball roll over the slide it made cyberspace 1000000x better honestly. with mods its actually on par with the old boost formula like unleashed and generations for me

Adventure would be imposible to remake,only in levels,in gameplay no because the physics kinda suck in sonic frontiers and the spindash is not that good like in sonic adventure
It really hurts my eyes because the physics is simply too stiff for a Generations stage (I’m willing to go call it trash even). The next game better have a more flowing aspect, like Unleashed

No Gens was more tanky and loose in it's physics and controls. Forces and Frontiers are stiffer by comparison, and slower.
I'd love to see how Frontiers would be in Unleashed Night Stages
I wonder if the modders can change the UI to make it somewhat similar to gens one if not, thats fine.

Those sections with the tight turns on narrow pathways need some level of automation.
no...what it needs is full on controllable sonic that turns even in highspeed sections and drift sections if they cant for the love of god cant implement a proper drift. Sonic in Sonic Frontiers have a freaking magnetic feeling whenever he goes into boost or very high speed. It is such a shitty feeling if you play it for yourself, you can tell they didn't play-tested it enough for them to not feel disgusted by how sonic controls compared to gens and unleashed and also the adventure series.
@@gumi_twylit2605 you’re speaking solely about the cyberspace levels. Implement the highly responsive version from good settings in the open zone and it’s fine, albeit still difficult to navigate manually because of the tight quarters. If you’re not going to have some level of automation then you need to open up the pathways no matter how tight the controls are.
Or use the drift boostpad (ik it sucks)

Can someone make a mod that just keeps your momentum after hitting an enemy. So boring watching sonics momentum just lost for homing attacking one enemy or boosting into them.

I really miss the flow Unleashed and Generations had. Frontiers physics are not good for linear stages.
lmao nah bro sonic generations is really undetectable in terms of projects, he had sonic 06, unleashed, colors, adventure and even frontiers himself haha, while sonic is struggling to make a decent generations project while this game has already been released In 2011, Sonic Generations definitely has the best physics.
