- English Pronunciation Lesson:
✅ In American English, t sounds like a fast d between vowels when the first syllable is stressed (as in “later”). This also happens when the second syllable sounds like /L/ as in “little.”
✅ Examples: little, battle, bottle, settle, title, total, brittle, cattle

Yeah, many Brits use a glottal stop there so it might sound like the tt is gone.
