A nice spell to sub the hydra spell out for is the blue item you get from the "a small favor" quest in Tangledrift. The reward is a blue frost sigil spell that has a 17 second (fast) cooldown that summons 3 hydra on cast and can come with 2 charges, meaning you can cast it constantly. Also works very nice if you go with polymorph since it will cast it many times in a row, covering the area with hydras. I love how this game gives you so many options for build tweaking.
Hey, so 5 points into stain of the soul is actually going to be way better for you than five points into dark pact, especially because of how much spell damage you're scaling. Example: you do 1000 spell damage. 5 points in stain of the soul gives you 20% as extra dark magic damage, so now you do 1200 damage. This is regardless of the dark magic conversion from the class mod. With 5 in dark pact and that same base 1000 spell damage where 30% is converted into dark magic (so 300 spell damage that is specifically dark magic) you only get another 60 spell damage added on, totaling 1060.
I don't have a good Frenzied Wrath amulet, so I am using Overflow Bloodbag with +30% Frost damage. This doubles my health most of the time and inreases survivability a great deal (+9000 health). I also lack the suggested shield, but a Cursed Wit works well (with +25% loot luck rolled instead of an enchant for damage)
Question: 1. Why pixies and no hydras on the reload since hydras do spell and count as companions? Question 2. Isn’t Harvest glitched right now by eternally stacking so is this build doing so well off that?
I believe hydra's damage is based off of gun damage. Pixies also proc double knot when they crit, increasing their own base damage. I have no idea if harvest is glitched right now, however if it is then it is probably doing more damage than what it is supposed to.
I still get a nice bit of satisfaction when the obelisk waves are completed in mere seconds w/ companion builds 😆 Good build setup tho.. will be trying it out tonight!

Why not spore and grave combo for all yhe companions? Or is that not as good?
Pixies proc spell damage so get insane boosts from spell shot abilities.

Try to get x2 on the pixie guns, Its a massive increase in damage ^^
It doesn't give the pixies extra bolts does it? I fail to see how x2 would provide any more damage

This build is sweet but boy let me tell ya when they get a ice/frost immune shield from one of the modifiers/curses boy does it suck 😂
