- Compound women's team gold medal match between USA and Mexico at the first stage of the 2021 Hyundai Archery World Cup in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Compound archers shoot at a target 50 metres away and the central 10-ring measures just 8cm in diameter.

I've never watched this sport before so maybe someone can enlighten me. Why does it have to segregated? Surely it's one sport where men would have no advantage over women so they could easily compete together. Am I missing something?

@@ricardocabrera8344 Yes, I saw that, but that was one man and one woman on each team - like mixed doubles in tennis. It didn't answer my initial query about why they have to divide archery by gender. If anything, that mixed-doubles tournament seemed to reinforce my preconception that this is one of the few sports where men have no inherent advantage over women - quite unlike tennis where they clearly have a huge advantage.
Thanks anyway though.
@@mpeterll good question I think this is a sport that the physical advantage of men doesn't apply. It should be just one category. But to be honest everything in the Olympics is separated so many that is the answer.

I enjoyed shooting Compound at the 4 Fita Distances. I think the Compounds should shoot at 70M on an 80 Cm Face.
It's too easy, 50m it's more complex due to the small target
