Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival of Festivals (Lingganay Festival of Alang-Alang,Leyte)

The Lingganay Festival got its name from the Waray word Lingganay which implies a 'chime'. The celebration was conceptualized at some point in 1995 in light of th legend of the town's lost 'brilliant ringer'. It was said that one time when the moro privateers astounded the general population, they endeavored to fled away with the ringer.
