Jagex has added a PJ timer to the wilderness in single combat areas. Previously, players could PJ others who were not actively being hit by their opponent after 3 seconds. Now, attacking a target locks both players into combat for 12 seconds.

@@Quintahboyah Fist of Guthix was the peak of community minigames events. after that the game kinda went downhill. this minigame and Clan wars in wildy make Wildy a big hotspot that is why

I always said JaGex’s been wasting the wilderness, there’s a lot of content they could get out of it. Personally, I’d like to know how the God Wars went down, and how it created the Wilderness.
Well its technically answered already in RS3. Our boy Zamorak got his hands on the Stone of Jas by ambushing and "killing" Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl, then he went on to scorch the entirety of Zaros's biggest settlement, Forinthry, which spanned basically the entirety of the area currently known as the Wilderness. When he was pretty much done with it, Guthix came along and tossed the Sword of Edicts into the ground (creating the Bounty Hunter Volcano in RS3) banishing the gods from Gielinor, and giving the wilderness it's final shape.

I would love to see your thoughts on the wilderness update. I think that it is good the team is giving attention to the wilderness. I just think the area itself is already too big without much to return. So I don't think adding more area to it is a good idea I think they should utilize area already there personally.
I think they should add a lot of the proposed ideas to areas that exist too. Too much dead space at the moment that could be utilized. Doesn’t make sense that east dragons west dragons cemetery ice plateau are basically untouched bot farms atm.
Yeah they could probably add all of the ideas without making the wildy much bigger. Also I don't like that it is only really useful for max mains.
limiting the amount of worlds that can use the wildy would fix that issue
@@gerge9238 Less worlds in general honestly (non-wildy too). At the busy spots, they need to make the map larger, not spread everyone out 150 people per world. I want community, populated worlds.

That's what it originally meant
I think people changed it because "Jacking" was offensive or...something stupid. It definitely meant player jacking, or, sometimes, "player jumping", i.e jumping someone when they're not preparing for it.

I don't pk, but I think the proposed wildy expansion is really interesting and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Although it does kinda mess with some lore, the northern shore is just that: a shore. That's where the pirates who raided Larran's entourage are, and if you just slap some more land north of them then how the hell did they run their ship aground?
Just say the lava flow coming from the volcano finally built up enough underwater and started making the shore expand. Or, something even catastrophic like an underground magma flow erupted just off-shore and cause rapid expansion after cooling in the water. They could totally spin it from a geology standpoint.

Great Video as always Framed. I think we need less worlds and to expand busy areas not create new ones. The map is already so large with many people spread all over we need to incentivize what is already there not make new problems. I love all the updates with the wilderness that the mods are doing and trying. It is clear they are finally TRYING I'm happy about that. Good things to come.
