Bought my Antix 2017 and it's been my 2nd favorite I ever owned. My old 2015 4 Fun was my all time favorite. From a long time Antix owner here are some things I feel I hope were addressed and I think they were. #1 gunnel to seat height ratio. I've had to remove the under seat foam from all my JK boats so my knees are more vertical for hip comfort. #2 usually after a full day of playing down the river especially stern squirting my seat hardware would be loose or pull out. #3 well honestly I dont have a third. After 3 years of fairly consistent paddling in the Antix it's still my go to boat for the rivers and creeks I run. Thanks for a great boat that has given me tons of great memories. Just some added info I'm about 6'-1"ish 210# and I paddle the large I've never had a comfort issue once I did my outfitting and my little under seat foam tweak. Looking forward to trying out this new 2.0.
Both your concerns were addressed. The cockpit and knees are much higher and more comfortable as will as out new outfitting and easy squirting stern to address your 2nd concern. I honestly think you'll love it.
I just bought my first Antix a year and a half ago, and I have loved it. All of the tiny things I wish were changed seem to have been addressed. Now I'm really perplexed. I was looking for a play boat, but now I'm wanting the 2.0 I don't know what to do. :) I am also curious about the new stern volume, and if I can finally get enough overnight gear in there?
Both are probably great options, though I would say, maybe get the playboat and then sell your current antix and use that money to upgrade to the 2.0 (because it is incredible). This way you can get both. #winning
