I think £330 for two is a fair price, £115 each - think of the fuel costs and a breakfast and I bet it’s the same price. Looking forward to this series! Never been to Scotland, but just looking at this trailer I’m feeling an itch to go!
Yes we didn't think it too bad, although you can get flights for £60 return and a hotel from similar so based on that its a far bit more, but was a fun treat!
@@MemorySeekers You can get cheap easyjet flights, but hidden costs of airport parking, luggage, and train fare from either Luton or Gatwick to London pushes that "cheap" fare much higher.. You could have saved a lot by booking a classic room instead, but hey, enjoy lounge access, en suite facilities and breakfast, its much more civilised...
Well done for mentioning right at the start that you only saw a small part. You did pretty well for a first trip. Driving round the north coast should be on your list, and Mull, and so much else. Hopefully you'll get there in the end. I've been going for 60 years, though not every year, especially now I emigrated to the US, and I still have things I haven't seen. The outer Hebrides for a start, other than from Skye many times. I never got round to the middle of the country north of Inverness either, because I always wanted to be on the coast. So I'm not criticizing, this was a great start. I've driven thousands of miles round CA, NV, UT, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, CO, AZ, British Columbia (aka BBC), Alberta, MA, NH, NY, VT, ME, and even the boring states down south. None of them has the beauty per square mile that Scotland has. In total BBC and the Rockies may have more to offer. But Scotland has something round every corner.
