Should have asked Strickland what it's like to have Efren Reyes living rent free in his head.
Bro this is original or copied?
If this is og then you must be from future 😂
LMAO!!! LOLOLOLOL
And he's remodelling the place 😋
Looks like there's barely any in there. It's probably like an abandoned warehouse inside his head.
Hahahaha true.
Reyes has control, both over the cue, and most importantly, over his emotions. A lesson for us all....
Agree
He has learned that... people ain't shit
Because he's high af 🤣
i cant agree more
He didn't have much when he faced off against a cheater xD
Earl just can't accept Efren is way better than him.
Strickland recognizes Efren as the best player of all time (in Efren's retirement tournament), he also admit that he learned a lot from Efren.
Earl’s frustrations is all bottled up and comes out as mini trash talk but, he is ready to burst at the seams.
Earl only thinks of himself. Arrogant player
Man those girls are mean.
Strickland would not want to accept a Filipino is better than him.
8:25 this lady is so hilarious! I roared with laughter as she said Good luck then Strickland responding
hehehehe
How u can u say good luck if I don't have any 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂 funny ...good luck for nxt time strickland
Yo, perfect way to end the interview.
I loved it when the woman says "Or he's naturally just a great player.".
Loved that blow. She REALLY wanted to get to the bottom of it.
Like Efren said,"if you don't make a ball, how can you win" in response to Earl saying he was lucky.................made my day.
This proves Earl strickland not only got "Owned" during the Game but also "After" the game. 😁😎 earl, doesn't have any idea how street smart Filipinos are 😊
Earl’s luck is just Efren’s another day in the office.
A word of wisdom from the GOAT himself.
Absolutely legendary. With what Effren said just sums up the lesson he just gave Strickland.
Efren was lucky....NOT!! That's why he's the GOAT!!
No earl. You never intimidated him ever. I don’t even think you were on his radar
Oh my goodness.......perfect way to put....."Not even on his radar"......Take that Earl, your working very hard to not be remembered when your time comes.
Efren only thinks of new opponents and opportunities.....
Playing pool since 8....he wasnt munching on kfc or mcd so definitely he was the better man...better winner...better sportsman than u Earl. These guys cant even take a loss specially when its from Asia.
I find it absolutely hilarious that with Efren’s skill that it just absolutely breaks Earl and just turns him into a child
😆😆😆very true👍
Earl is narcissistic and proud. You can tell just by his answer in the interview before the game.
8:02 - At least Earl "The Squirrel" is HONEST. "He's just a better human, a better person, he's just a better player, and I'm a villan." Yes, yes, yes and YES!
Nothing necessary to turn him into a child. He IS a child.
Earl, his name fits him. XD
it's always pleasant and relaxing to watch efran play, because he is a happy, hard working person, who doesn't get upset, or allow himself to be negative imv
You can't be any other way in the Philippines. It's the school of hard knocks.
Yeah. Strickland is the exact opposite of that.
*Efren
It is amazing how these 2 guys were like this back then, and become friends later. Now, earl gave us an amazing speech during efren farewell tour.
Yeah, after Strickland learned his place.
@@Okrollins1 Well played lmao.
Strickland is one of those guys that worked so hard to be a great player, Efren just have that magic... that talent plus hard work to go even further.
It's competitive juices. You don't become as good as they are without that fire.
8:30 “Good luck? I don’t have any”
Earl coming across as a sore loser, and at the same time very funny 😆
He has a good sense of humor
I'm sure it got frustrating. Earl could consistently beat everyone but him.😀
Earl is a legend, solidified. I wish he'd do himself a favor and not have so many tantrums, but then he wouldn't be Earl.
Reyes will go down is history as the best, no one comes close
Very overrated. He wasn't even the best of his era.
@@trple2 ookay.!
@@trple2 keep dreaming 😂
Overrated?so tell me who's the greatest for you?
Kevin Thompson you troll.
Efren Reyes and Earl Strickland both are legends.
I wish more athletes were like Mr. Reyes. He’s truly a legend for all the right reasons.
How about khabib nurmagomedov
In my high school years in Manila, early 70s, he was already a legend. I did not see him play but I've heard the Bata nickname beating all the pool sharks. He Ain't no lucky. He is one of a kind and Philippines may never produce a pool player like him.
I’m here, new legend coming. Just u wait
Gifted guys and mold by the time and experience. Very tough players. Foreigners underestimated him and later on intimidated.
Oh lawd that interview at d end with Earl....I almost died with laughter.
Amazing how lucky a person gets when they practice and play constantly.
I keep watching Efren and remember how magical his games were. He is by far the best ever pool player...bar none
Earl:"Hey!you're pretty lucky!"
Efren:"Yeah.hehe!!how can you win if you don't make a ball?"
This is the most 100% savage thing I've ever heard from Idol Efren.face to face against Earl.😎
😂🤣😝🤭😬👊
Liked his said (Earl) you're celebrating, I guess I'm the villain😅😅😅😅, Efren good person than me .wft
Nice misquote
I don't know the game well to understand the terminology. What exactly does that mean?
@@shrivyas1856 make a ball basically meant shoot a ball into a pocket. Nothing special.
Maybe lucky sometime, but being a legend is not just being lucky, and being lose with Efren doesn’t mean you’re unlucky. But that’s because Efren is a legendary pool player. Accept defeat, like Efren did when he defeated by other players. Efren is a humble man, there’s no doubt about it.
If you don’t make a ball, how can you win? Hahahahahaha bruh roasted
Mic drop!!
Yeah.
Earl lost that one rack by over hitting and then scratching. It wasn't bad luck. That was a mistake based on skill.
Efren's response was absolutely savage, its like slowly piercing your heart so slowly that you don't even know it is happening! What a response. Made Earl look dumb af! Efren's ball control is the best I have ever ever seen! And his ability to adapt to any table and run is unmatched!
The match up of those guys is probably the greatest. Different styles different characters. Not like the robots today haha
2 of the world's best golfers said...the more i practice, the luckier i get...probably also where Erfen's luck comes from🤔
Roger Federer said the harder I work the luckier I get
@@MrPernell27 yes...so did Gary Player and Jack Niclaus a couple of decades before Roger!
They were all super successful, because the work very hard at their game
8:02 - At least Earl "The Squirrel" is HONEST. "He's just a better human, a better person, he's just a better player, and I'm a villan." Yes, yes, yes and YES!
Earl "Squidward" Strickland
Hands down the GOAT! Earl was the greatest American 9 ball player ever, but Efren was the greatest in the world! A more versatile player as well!
Effren wasn't even better than Parica let alone the best American guys.
@@trple2 you do mean Earl right? cause he just got his ass whopped in the video
@@randyquench8731 Efren was really good but amongst a lot of guys that were really good. The video doesnt change anything.
@@trple2 he was winning pool tournaments before you were even born kid, put some respect in his name
@@randyquench8731 Again, you're missing the point. He was good. Overhyped but good.
Earl Strikland is not only one of the biggest poor sports in the game but may be the craziest player in the game.
Amazing he was so good then. Maybe you're crazy to not understand it.
8:02 - At least Earl "The Squirrel" is HONEST. "He's just a better human, a better person, he's just a better player, and I'm a villan." Yes, yes, yes and YES!
Pool's version of Pete Weber.
@@jaysantos536 I thought the same exact thing lol. Who do you think you are? I am!
Skill is when luck gets permanent.
Skill is when you don't have to rely on luck anymore.
@@chakko007 skill is when people think it's luck but gives consistent result
Oh, Earl is a character...
Like it or not, he gives color to pool sports that makes it more flavorful and interesting! Grumpy but hilarious with his remarks on the interview😂😀😃😂
i used to see Earl as a toxic player but on the last part of this video i kinda felt bad for him Efren is killin it lol
Earl was just role playing here in the interview to add to the character of pool, it’s just an act and he chose to play the villain, good on you earl, respect.
Earl is the John McEnroe of billiards. Much of it is an act. After his tennis career, it became apparent that McEnroe was a cool dude. I think Earl is too. He's able to fool many people with his grumpy act. Like McEnroe, he has a temper but there's much more to him than that.
That is as close anyone can come to crying without shedding a tear.
Efren is the greatest pool player of all times. I have never seen any player knows the trajectory of the table like he does.
Luck is part of pool. And as Reyes has stated, the more he practices, the luckier he gets.
Actually, that was 1st said by golfer Gary "The Black Knight" Player when he was once asked about his amazing bunker play.
He said, It's about luck and skill. Though, the more I practice, the luckier I get."
Luck is the residue of practice and preparedness
Yeah but the practice part means..... Every game..... he's improvising every game.....
Strickland is being a comedian hahaha
Legend, GOAT, they just can't belueve filipinos does have those kind of people legend and GOAT.
When you're as great a player as Efren, it aint luck.
I have been watching Efren he sure makes it look easy!!!
The thing I like about him is he takes care of his FAMILY!!
Dumb
Love the childish reaction from Earl. He is such a man child.
Strickland seems cannot accept.Efren defeats him...sort of superiority feeling.
Efren Reyes is simply the best and the greatest pool player, no question about it ..... I think Earl Strickland also agree, but he was many times too proud to admit it, or said otherwise just to boost his confidence. On several occasions Earl was admitted it, for example on his speech after the Efren Reyes Farewell games at Germany or he was celebrated and congratulated when Efren made the legendary Z shoot to beat him
Earl : you are so very lucky
Efren : if you cant make the ball how can you win? 😎
HAHAHAHAHAH
Tagalog pls hahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love how this guy is so humble when he gets thrashed by a !lucky" player.
That subtle ! hahah
Efren and earl in my opinion has the greatest rivalry on pool in the history of pool. They have great matches which are magical to see. And the farewell speech Earl gave to Efren on their last match is just beautiful to watch because throughout their journey, their rivalry, their differences, they will always respect and exalt one another as their greatest rival. For me they are the yin and yang of billiards.
Earl: I don't have any luck!
Interviewer : Good luck!
Earl : .... ?!
LOL
Hahaha thats the funiest part i think earl about to cry that time but he didn,t want to show it to the crowd😄😅
That was funny enough...I could just imagine the turmoil inside.
@@ppac300 hehe true bro
That’s sad because Strickland is a great player which a crazy attitude that probably isn’t good for his game because a lot of it is mental. They are both awesome though
Haha. The fact that earl nagging make him him like a villain in his every matches.
"Luck is when opportunity meets preparation."
Best interview in the world hahaha
I LOL'd so hard my girlfriend woke up & slapped me! But it was worth it..🤣🤣😭😭
Love watching Efren Reyes play. I wish I was as good as him.
I don’t strive to be as good as him but I have been learning from him for years
Interviewing earl looks like a remake of Napoleon Dynamite, the later years 😂.
Love to watch him play great skills...
This would be the best interview to a loser in the history of all sports, awesome!
Earl is hilarious! I love the saecasrix self deprecating humor!
😂, I googled sore loser and found strickland's picture 🖼️ 😂😂😂
Yeah. He was eating those crackers in that pic iirc 😂😂
Fascinating game decision, well done EBR 👏👏👏
7:59 - "He's a better person, a better player..." For once Earl, I agree with you.
He's being sarcastic
Hahahhaha I can’t hold my laugh in the interview when he’s upset of his lost.
Haces muy buenos vídeos, ojalá algún día pudieras hacer alguno en español 😢
Reyes is a superior player full stop . Strickland likes to intimidate but Reyes just blanks him .
Obviously Efren Bata Reyes has the skill, the wit, and the unique strategy at play. When interviewed, he always says he's just lucky. A constant reply showing his natural humility despite his obvious stunning greatness!!!!! He has been soaring high like an eagle!!!!! God lifted him up because he is excellent yet so humble!!!!! I am a proud Kapampangan here!!!!!
Billiards has made it a science. His shots are fully calculated. He fully knows if he messed up. Plus Filipino cue players are creative ang well practiced.
Earl is always be the villian in pool. And that was a compliment.
I very much improved my pool game simply by paying close attention to Efren Reyes videos. I no longer hurry around the table and I do not scratch the cue ball so often as before. I do not dislike Earl (the pearl) Strickland. He's a good teacher of the game also.
i love watching Reyes play, thankful for youtube to be able to watch Reyes (and others) and learn by watching some great 8 & 9 ball play.
Mr.reyes started at 8y.o.
Americans are very vocal and competitive..mr reyes is pretty lucky to have multiple recognition..
That interview with earl was hilarious😁
Strickland is rude and unsportsmanlike
Earl is trolling... He and Efren are good friends. Dnt you hear people at the back laughing??
@@carllorenzandonaque9242 He's sucking up to Efren because he has no friends
thats not true, earl is a good man
@@alvindelacruz9866 you'd be the only person to think so
@@chocol8tsundae search Earl farewell tour for Efren if you think he's unsportman.
Yes what u say at the end of the video.. is true.. pratice and honest will bring u far
He said that Earl Strickland is 5 rack but that number on the side is 4 rack lol...
The main question is, do things happen by chance? If they do, then one can speak of someone being lucky or unlucky. But if they do not happen by chance, then it is inappropriate to use those terms.
I guess Lucky is better than Sucky......yes pun intended.
I'd rather be "lucky" than "good".
In Effrens case he's "good" and "lucky".
You can tell he is not only humble, he is cold and focus with sharp mind. Amazing player, one for the storybooks.
A combination of hardwork, focus, undeniable elite skills in billiards and a little bit of luck is what brought Efren to where he is now...
Efren always tell he just got lucky when being interviewed 😂
We call that going "on tilt" when your opponent makes you lose it like that. Earl was for sure "on tilt" after that beating.
How funny was that reporters last remark as he walked away "good luck" I thought he was going to turn around and give her a roasting! What a character.
Reyes has admitted that strickland was his toughest opponent. It's like they bring the best out of each other imo
I really feel sorry for Earl he just can't get out of his own way Earl has an excellent game just that his emotions overtake him
Doesn’t seem that excellent more like a sore loser. Sit down buddy your done and shut the fuck up lol
Well said
Weird that Efren is ALWAYS lucky whenever he plays EARL... conspiracy w/ the Stars maybe 😁😄✌
"goodluck?? how can you tell me goodluck, when i don't have any????" that ending tho HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
earl can be grumpy and funny at the same time🤣🤣
I feel like a long time ago...efren played some guy and that guy called efren “lucky “....and since then efren always says that after a match because it’s his way of jabbing the guy from long ago.
Lmao that dudes salty af.. got his ass dusted and out classed... he can wait on luck.. Efren got skills, top notch. The best to ever do it.
Efren. Idol, karambolista, 70 na ko at batang sta cruz. Lagi kitanag pinanonood sa Lucky 13. Genius ka at magaling talaga. Walang kapantay. A legend the best of them all
Most underrated sports rivalry. Need to make a movie about these two greats.
I believe efren reyes is the goat in billiards..
Don't be fooled, definitely he is...
Thats my childhood a"ike coz im 66 now&im followibg hin eversince he got his feet in USS for billiard tnment.
The GOAT of Pool ✌🏻
Efren is blessed. Because he is very humble.
Look at Earl's face,he still shock , he still dont believe he lost .sore loser HA HA ha ,that's skill Mr Strickland he beat you by a mile.
Again. congrats:: Efren Reyes!!!
Such a Legend watching Tatay Efren! The smile and scratching his head tho. So humbled human-being and so blessed with His tremendous talent. From PH we can’t forget you for being a Legendary in Pool and bringing our country with your best.
Luck is a big factor but Efren knows what he is doing with every shot. He has the knowledge of the movements of both object and mother ball.
I hate playing a guy like that just a winer
Earl would complain if he played God and lost!
Her lost comment is so funny 🤣🤣
These two hates each other before. Now they are full respect for each other.
Strickland is a top player but I get a sick pleasure watching him lose to Reyes 🤣🤣🤣
Luck isn't just flux. Work it out till it happen
Wow! Amazing player" the magician".....buti nalang my youtube at lahat ng laro mo napanood ko...
I like the way the commentator changed his tune at 4:10. He starts oh oh oh oh thinking the cueball would not position well and then says wow, did you see that. How often these commentators have said that in Efrens matches. Even before the classic Z-shot. Efren has a computer brain when it comes to angles.
