Dear bernth, i wanna learn how to play clean , like eliminating unwanted string noises, string muting tecniques..., please, please, make a video about it YOU'RE THE BEST!!!
I learnt this technique accidentally 20 years ago by playing Kirk Hammets parts in „For whom the bell tolls“. Perfect „upstroke on a lower string“ - riff
Managed to successfully make it to level 10 ;D, would love to see some sweep picking exercises soon as I feel that my technique is too sloppy and unclean there. Cheers!
Hi and thanks for this awesome exercice ! Got to 100bpm on my second day. But I feel like one of my main issues is that my left hand is super "fatigued" when i reach my top speed :D Would you recommend starting further in the exercise or just endure? :D Thanks !
One thing to note here folks. The angle of the pick is extremely critical in this exercise imo. You need the pick angled 15 degrees to the strings, so upwards picking motion is slightly like cutting the upper string with a sharp knife :)
A very helpful workout, I was stuck at 100bpm originally but got to 130 after I realized a problem with my technique. The only problem I have now is that at 130 my pick starts to hit the other strings a lot, maybe because I’m using too much of my arm?
I think the problem is with my left hand, I pick correctly but my left hand fingers aren't fast enough, do u have any videos on left hand speed building? BTW Amazing video as always
But isnt that string hoping according to troy grady? The downstroke on the high string gets stuck and has to hop over the string to make that upstroke happen on the lower string
Yeah there is no way to play this without string hopping the way he has the stroke notated. It works for upwards pick slanting or If you start on an upstroke downward pick slanting works.
The pick angle changes/ rotates while playing fast and my grip is not tight as you suggested in other video.. I practiced holding it loose enough until it falls.. what should be done now?
A bit of stretching and warming up with a couple of spider exercises to warm up a bit before you dive into the more difficult stuff might help with that.
@@macabrecreation1067 The simplest spider exercise is just a simple chromatic scale. If you are unfamiliar with a chromatic scale it is a scale of all semi tones or half steps which basically one fret at a time. you can find lots on UA-cam just enter spider exercises for guitar in the search bar. That should give you everything you need. Best of luck and shred till yur dead my friend.🎸🎸🎸🎸👍🤘👍🤘
@@Domn879 I know but it just seems insane I need him to upload a video of him when he started so I know he started from where I started from cause right now I dont believe it XD this man was shredding since day 1.

I like how "intensely friendly" you look!
Cool workout. I'm give this a go in the morning. 👍
Wish I would have had this exercise when I joint ur Patreon community.
Compared to exercise #200, this was by far easier to get into this topic 😅

Good advice. "Stiffen the wrist and rock the hand".

My brain is melting from so easy left hand pattern. Picking? Yes, Thinking? No

On the 6-string guitar with 011 gauge I do 110bpm, on the other with fine gauge I do 120bpm

Practice to 110bpm > rest > continue to 120 > rest > continue tp 130bpm, repeat 2-3 repetition
⭐⭐⭐COOL ⭐bernith⭐🎸
Playing on an acoustic, and its's so hard🥲😂
I struggle with the pick slipping, how tight should I hold the pick?
Are you using decent quality picks? You should be holding it slightly loosely to absorb some of the vibration
i struggled to hit the d string at faster tempos, never got stiff
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaqqqaqaaaaa
120 kills me😂
Hes the busiest man on UA-cam
I actually think my brain is the problem.
My picky wicky hurty wortie
If you play the high notes while Bernth plays the low notes, its harmonised

Hi
My pick misaligned when i pick fast
I just dont get it I do not have short fingers but this man is stretching his hand in ways my fingers physically cant stretch.
It does come with practice. Make sure you want it enough though as it may takes a lot of practice and you don’t need to play like that.

Im stuck in 120 BPM
