Yeah, it surprised me to see them lighten the mood with Kaz but I just adore the idea of him being a sneakerhead behind it all. Guess even the strongest fighters with generational family drama can still be relatable😂

It’s also a possible hint that Kazuya will not be the main antagonist in the next game’s story.
Such a nice touch showing Kaz still lived up to collecting sneakers as a hobby.
I remember when first read the manual for the first tekken game, it said that kazuyas hobby was collecting sneakers and i was so confused. I’m very glad they brought it back.

Id assume because of the Devil Gene influencing Kazuya, Heihachi AT THE TIME mightve been the safer place for Jin.

Tbh there was never really any hints for that. The tekken tag win poses were vague imo. his ending in tag 2 implies he doesn't care (he absorbed unknown/jun's powers and flew off triumphantly laughin). The most we ever got was from that old tekken anime movie that depicted lee as a narcissistic psychopath.
Tekken 8 actually does confirm to us that he does have a thing for jun and creating jin wasn't just some random heat of the moment. Which I'm glad its finally confrimed so i no longer have to think kaz would go down a dirtier path that led to jin being born.

@wiw7910 its because the purpose of the tournament was to find a new head for the mishima zaibatsu 🎉 so when kazuya won, he pretty much took over the company again

Yep now that Kazuya has conquered the world, regained control of the Mishima Zaibatsu and has Jun Kazama by his side again he can go back to his main hobby he enjoys the most without being disturbed, collecting sneakers.

With Reina's reveal, at least Kazuya never had any secret son or daughter in his side. I don't think in the main canon he ever cheated on Jun.
Bruh he conquered the entire planet he had multiple chances to make a harem of millions of women for him to have sex with and have children with them. But he didn't because obviously he is only attracted to jun.

Fun fact Since Tekken 1 Kazuyas bio has talked about his love for sneakers 👟.
Need nice shoes for good kicks and show a dominating style.
His passion for shoes is likely due to of what has transpired in his past(just an assumption):
1)His father never gave him the love he should have and during his training he had no shoes while doing so.
2)He was thrown off a cliff and when he recovered he had to make his way to civilization with bare feet of course.
3)He met the love of his life and probably it was there when he received a new pair to reach the tournament to get his sweet revenge.
The rest is history.
He was collecting Sneakers before he met Jun... he was still filthy rich because he was still Heihachi's heir and still got trained by him after making the climb.. he just outwardly hated Heihachi and Hei knew it but thought it would make a stone cold heir so he was fine was it...

1.) She probably didn't know that Heihachi was evil. She probably saw him as "the guy who beat Devil" and if he could do that, then he could protect Jin from Ogre
2.) Kazuya didn't die in the volcano. And Jun probably had no idea what happened to him after the tournament. She knew about Devil and chose to live in seclusion to keep Jin safe from him and probably wasn't up-to-date on world events at the time

Jin had to be able to defend himself and perhaps she was aware of ogre's threat even before he attacked them at yakushima
For those who don’t know: in the old tekken handbook that came with the game, it stated that Kazuya likes Jun and Shoes, hence why you see Jun and Kazuya’s abundant shoe collection

Ngl, dude's dream life is literally within his grasp. He's the head honcho of a conglomerate of indescribable wealth and influence and he could probably take over the world through economic and political means alone, his dear wife is back by his side and he's got a nice hobby to keep him happy. Kazuya is evil, but his ending wasn’t as dark as the previous game’s ending.
A light hearted what if ending, that pokes some fun of a character's great qualities.
i think kazuya isn't that evil, he just hates his dad but loves jun, and when he thought jun was dead, he has more reason to do it.. more like an anger / hatred cos heihachi killed kazumi (which is his mom) and his lovely wife is dead than evil

The Jun moment here is literally the most satisfying and adorable thing in Tekken history. The sneakers are magnificent icing on the cake.
Fun fact. Kazuya is a Capricorn Dec 31st I think. And Capricorns are known for their love of their Old shoes

I think the canon story made him kinda dirty. I know he's always been evil, but it was this kind of colder evil. Some of this feats here just feel too cartoonish evil to be performed by him, such as him starting a hunt for Jin in public (personally wasting his power on killing civilians/weaklings) instead of starting the tournament right away, since he only fights whoever is worthy of him.
Something tells me Jin is still alive in this ending, cause Jun looks mentally okay here 😭
