I try to listen to all talks here. This is probably the best one!! (since now I guess I got the essence of modern day value investing) Great great questions as well! Thank you Rahul Many many thanks Mohnish! Especially for sharing wisdom and life long learning! I usually only comment just once or twice in a year..
From my perspective, this highlights the importance of having a competitive advantage as investors. Merely mirroring the market strategies of others is insufficient in achieving optimal results. I am currently grappling with the decision to invest in the current market, as it presents both uncertainty and opportunity. Could you share your insights on this matter?
I have learned from past experience that basing market judgements and decisions solely on rumors and hearsay can lead to detrimental results. In 2020, I fell victim to such a situation and was left holding worthless positions in the market. To overcome this, I sought the assistance of a professional advisor and made significant changes to my portfolio. Over the past two years, I have worked with this advisor and have seen a growth of 350k in my portfolio, demonstrating that profitable opportunities can be found in both bullish and bearish market conditions, it is a matter of strategic investment approach.

@@lowcostfresh2266 thank you so much for this tip! Finding your coach was a breeze and I was really impressed with all the research I did on her credentials before scheduling a call. It's clear from her résumé that she's extremely knowledgeable and skilled, and I'm so excited to have the chance to talk to her!
“There’s more and more of a concern that incoming data is revealing that the Fed might be a little bit behind the curve than maybe they expected heading into this year,” said Bipan Rai, North America head of FX strategy at CIBC Capital Markets in Toronto. You make a really good point; when I first started investing on my own, the market was seriously taking advantage of me. I hired a broker despite my initial skepticism, and I outperformed the market by more than 9%. I initially believed it was an anomaly, but after it occurred twice in a row, I decided to remain with investing through an analyst.

My Financial Advisor is MONICA PAYNE TUTORIALS. I found her on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her afterwards. She has since provide entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can run a quick online research with her name if you care for supervision. I basically follow her market moves and haven’t regretted doing so
I'm literally holding onto straws right now, so your tip couldn't have come at a better moment! I plan to call her after doing a quick internet search for her.
Dear Mohnish, I recently read a philosophical book called “Capitalism and the death drive”… where I discovered the public company Acxiom, now known as LiveRamp… Thank you for all the lessons you’ve made public. Sincerely, Dan Charrois
Thank you very much Mohnish. You said God love You to bless you with all the investments opportunities You had, and God really love Us also to have us live with You in the same Era. We are very fortunate, and God love Us.
I started my account in Jan of 2013, and id I only did what Mohnish preaches then I would have been a rich person. I started with 32K. Watch him almost yearly, but fail to follow. I am 40 now and I hope it’s not too late to start emulating him and his approach….anyone here who relates to me?
Pabrai fans, suppose we did find 1 or 2 companies that astonished us and we do wish to hold them forever. Why not allocate our capital to those two ideas alone? Because black swan events can happen. Because business are run by people and they too can make mistakes. Because it is easy to start doubting our thesis if Mr (efficient?) Market disagrees with us for too long. What would be your maximum portfolio allocation in a single stock?
Parbai dad is even more interesting! He sounds like he was in the wrong country. The only way you could have a successful business in 1970s india was to have license access. If he didn’t have it, it’s not his fault he failed.

I'll suggest you find a mentor or someone with experience to guide you especially in this recession

Do you release these on podcast at the same time?
My wife said she will leave me if I pay to have lunch with Monish Pabrai. I'll miss her 😢
Always amazing
Thank you.
Thank you
Imaging your dad learned about value investing and getting all in on it.

I’d like to meet you just to get a photo. I’ve listened to so many of your UA-cam videos
Where can we meet and greet Mohnish next week in Omaha?? Want to give him a hug!
Great
Good
i like the intro music
Wondering if he got the idea for funeral homes out of Peter Lynch's book 😂
❤❤❤
Investors need to read widely.
When reading, look for something that interests you or leave it for something else.
I am struggling to find which part of this interview has to do with Michael Burry 🤣

If it's running I'm ok with two thirds in one stock but I think 5 stocks is generally better
I think Bill ackman gets too much credit for his covid call 😂 I saw that coming and I don't have research department
Michael burry was hoping to get lucky second time by selling everything. 😮
Jeez that host needs a better mic - sucks that an organization can’t even seem to care about the most basic requirements of a pod

Pls share ur daughter psychology channel
He has a Charlie Munger bust in the background... I'm gonna have Monish Pabrai bust in my office when my Investments explode...
Mohnish usually farts uncontrollably. It is a chronic condition. Also, he sprays diarrhea.
Thats why he prefers to do interviews via zoom.
Wtf. Are you alright mate?
