"When I played Berlin in 2005, before the first Tectonic Plates [a series of compilations released on Pinch's label Tectonic] had been released, I had Skream's "Bahl Fwd" on dubplate. I played in this weird venue, which was set in a bank vault and still had a caged-off safety deposit box room and everything: very small, with very thick walls and a decent soundsystem. While I was DJing, [grime MC] Jammer and his crew passed through, and when someone got on the mic this weird shit started happening. The bass would get ridiculous, and the mixer would be bouncing on the table like a glass. When I dropped "Bahl Fwd", a pile of flyers went up into the air like confetti and I had to catch the mixer and hold it down. I thought we'd hit the resonant frequency of the room. I worked out that every time the MC was getting hype, they were standing in front of the speaker while the bass of the mic was on full; you got bass feedback through the mic sending the place so mad that you felt that you were being crushed. I thought I was going to die in that room. That tune is one of the heaviest dubstep tracks that's ever been cut, because he didn't have any EQ on the bass: full power, untouched bass." - Pinch
everytime I get on UA-cam and listen to this song, I read your comment. Its this weird connection I feel when you say this. First Dubstep party's back then were fucking amazing, what a sound.
@ErikatheWitch He's saying: "You go and play it then (as a DJ I'm guessing). Skream has already given us the material and we can keep the sound alive ourselves" - makes complete sense to me, music is a generational thing and no single person can be expected to play one sound their whole life, it's a shared movement.
Yes yes, dubstep is never dead, it will live within us forever, that being said theres still a lot of artists, representstives, promoters and radioheads that still have energy to push it to the limit if needed x
Played this down Battersea Labour Club on the internet jukebox the last few weeks and even old geezas and gals in their 60s were boppin with bass faces and asking me the name of the song. Timeless and genreless. Music is music.
i listened to this on some "cheap" turtle beaches and couldn't figure out why everyone was going crazy so I went and got my other headphones and I think I was teleported to a parrelel universe but I don't know because the bass made me go blind
Try Skream's Lets get Ravey mix of La Roux - In for the kill, for low sub bass Breakage - Rain, this one gets as low as 32hz which is unreachable to most people because of their systems
pre listen check list 1. bladder empty 2. bass up as high as it can go 3. volume up as loud as possible 4. loose items secured press play. i blew up my 6x9's with this song :(
The whole of the 7inch tectonic plates are incredible. I bought them all around 2008-210. I’ve not been able to use my decks for way too long and I just come across this tune by accident and it sounds better then ever. I’m sitting next to my decks and 1000+ vinyl and I’m so gutted that I can’t play/mix em. 😢 I love music ❤️
@dubstepgrannysmasher skream was one of the first dubstep producers dude, his styles varies a lot from others and he doesn't sound at all like rusko, it's just musical production style.
Dude, never put vlc higher than 200% unless you've got all the other volume controls maxed out and you really really really really want it to go even louder :p
@MrRAMMSTEINRYAN I guess by ur name why u like datsik and excision and I love them too but if you like dubstep you are missing out on so much by only looking at the ultra heavy broaden ur horizons man Skream is sick..

1:22 with the percussion break is what makes the song. My god.
i listened to this on some "cheap" turtle beaches and couldn't figure out why everyone was going crazy so I went and got my other headphones and I think I was teleported to a parrelel universe but I don't know because the bass made me go blind

danermanerkider wait i was listening for over 3 min and didnt realize the drop....
That's why you don't put maxx bass on when listening to songs. Listen to songs like they are intended without any equalisation or whatever.
@Sherio88 ive been listening to dubstep since 06' when i heard Caspa - Cockney Violin. I'm cool.
this is badass
13 years late. Here I am, and I've sent apologies. Big up Kennard & joanah

What would Jesus do? He would make DubStep like this.
My phone's speaker is dead
Esta canción es peligrosa, esténse preparados con el bajo (con un medio donde realize bien los bajos te darás cuenta de lo que digo)
How do you pronounce the name of this song?
King Skream
Sorry I missed the Seattle show. Legend came to town and I missed out.
Play this on a military grade sonic weapon and use it to destroy Isis :D
Why would you want to destroy ISIS? They are heroes.
+Tough guys don't dance I hope you're kidding?
