Think of price of play VS. payoff. At this UK Seaside arcade they won 4x branded keychains and a squishie for c.£5. It's regularly $1 per claw machine play in American arcades and you aren't guaranteed the prize after 5 or 10 plays. Yeah, tickets are harder to get in these style or arcades, but they'll spend £20 for ages of play and $100 at Dave and Busters for the same amount (or less time) of fun. Completely different styles of arcade. Plus, remember the two massive bars of Cadbury in two plays in a claw yesterday!
As a resident of great yarmouth - we have known for years that the arcade owners change the machine settings in summer time during peak tourist season - so the machines pay out less and earn more
When I was a child growing up round Great Yarmouth they had a ghost buster simulator was about 25 years ago, alots changed over the years rarely go for the arcades now but for the history Great Yarmouth holds 😊thanks for sharing

Gold Rush is the British arcade place in the world! Because it's very cool machines as they played different games and winning those prizes. So this is amazing, Crystal and Angel, thanks for showing the tour and don't give up, keep playing and win hard.
I remember there was a Trap Door at D&B Hollywood and when the trap door was about 80% open you could pull the prize chute door open really hard and it would literally shake the inside of the machine and you could win a prize that probably needed like 10 more plays to win. The way the trap door was designed was that it also had another flap/door on the inside that actually moved up to cover the drop hole when you opened the prize door (so people couldn't open the door and reach up there to get the prize. However, because of this weird door design, pulling the door open really fast would cause the inner door to smack hard into the bottom of the machine, resulting in it shaking the trap doors holding the prize lol
Back in the 80s and 90s the claw machines at our UK arcades used to be stuffed full like in the US but then greed took over and now you’re lucky if there are a handful of stuffed toys in there. One of the better arcades I’ve been to recently was Burnham on Sea pier near Weston Super Mare. Good staff in there always helping customers. I’m up in Blackpool later in the year so hope to get to Coral Island and a few other places.😊

The only arcade center with the best prizes at the prize corner which you want to get your hands on wow, Gold Rush arcade at Great Yarmouth UK got everything but from the looks of it you have to break your bank if want win more tickets to get those goodies.The place looks cool however not much people are playing there since it's difficul to win tickets. My son won me a hello kitty from one of them it cost him £12 he got the instant win. In clacton on sea on his birthday in may. He is so good at it.❤❤XX
not sure if your still in yarmouth one of my fave places as have alot of memories from mum and dads childhood too going there on holidays. but the 2p most places in the uk u et better chance of getting your prices if you use both sides left and right same. otherwise all the coins tend to go down the side into the coin bank for the arcade to empty back into their coffers ......... this is whta they fill the machines back up with. so if u play one side say the right side the cins will be shoved down the gap on the left side and vice versus. if u put money in from both sides same time it pushes to the middle hence making more coins push the prizes to the front and therfore u win more.
You are correct about being hard to get tickets there Angel & crystal good prizes yes but very expensive. Leisureland I always head too. If you went down regent road there's 3 or 4 shops that sell them figures. You gone back home yet I may be there again at weekend Angel.
If you''re in England, and you want a prize that's English, get the Tom Baker as The Fourth Doctor figure! (the fact that you don't know who that is, is very sad... LOL)
