Thank you so much. Im 67 years old. I just took up golf for the first time about 3 months ago. I was terrible, even after a few private lessons. Then last week I discovered your channel, and ,WOW! My game Improved dramatically! Only two hours practicing your method and I played my best round ever. I now actually have a swing. Easy to do without thinking too much. Set up...Just...straight back...straight through. Getting better every day. Thanks Kirk. Your the man.
I like your videos. They are not long at all. I want to hear everything you say. You really help me to hit the balls much better. Please don’t take this down. Thank you for all of your hard work. Love!!!
I am not taking it down. Some videos turn out better than others. I do the best I can in the moment and realize some will like a video that others do not.
Great video. Once I stopped reaching and bending so much....huge difference in my golf swing. 125 was my first score. 7 weeks later...92. Now to work on my putting to get into low 80s
7:02 - 100% spot on regarding Bryson working on keeping the club face down the line longer through impact. I do this as well and the accuracy increased dramatically. Stabilizing the face is paramount to accurate shot making.
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen was showing the golf swing with a hula hoop and a shaft connected to it we could really see what the golf swing was doing the face and so forth can you do this with Bryson’s swing so we can see
I think it’s a great video. Good balance of actual demo and verbal instruction. Kirk’s S4I method continues to evolve making it more and more worthwhile. If you can get to one of his instruction sessions you really should. I have just enjoyed my most successful (and enjoyable) golf seasons ever. I took the class and I can assure you it will change your golf game for ever (for the better!)
Very useful, summary as I have that tendency to have a closed face and pull the ball as a result - being left handed its to the right in my case. Been testing the straighter arm set up which has helped me a lot on my driving in particular. As you say it is easy to then lose some distance if you become too stiff so finding the right mix to fit ones body, fitness and swing is key.
You really need to see that the leading hand is neutral as well. Turning the leading elbow so it is facing the hip at setup works well too. Sounds like you know what you are doing.
@@Setup4Impact thanks. Indeed have been also focusing on ensuring the wrist faces the target at impact on the way through (and space between elbows somewhat stable) which has helped. Ironically previously was having too much hip turn and as a result at impact my alignment was facing right (as a left hander) combined with a closed face that was disastrous. So some clear few points of focus have helped including jack Nicklaus's 2-2-2 imaginary points in front and behind the ball. But on my driving especially keeping that straighter arm (ulnar deviation) has helped a lot - another aspect was to grip down a inch or two (we can't all be a Bryson using longer shafts) too essentially making the shaft stiffer - something I picked up from watching JT swing his irons in particular. As always one needs to continue to work on a few key things to get them into one's muscle memory. Onward and upward. Happy golfing
Nice explanation of the differences and concepts. My new swing-following your instructions is progressing but my driving accuracy has not progressed as quickly as the irons
This video was not too long. I thought it was great. Thank you very much. I too am doing single plane swing, and I have a tendency to hook the ball. It’s really annoying, I’ve tried to move my trail arm and hand over and that still does not work. Any more ideas to fix the hook
Move the leading hand to neutral so the back of the hand is toward the target. Then make sure the trailing hand matches the leading hands. If the trailing hand is too much under it can also cause a hook. I address this in a soon to be released video here. You can also rotate the leading elbow so it points down toward your hip and not toward the target.
Dead on Kirk! I agree with everything you said (especially about one length irons). I do think you should revisit JumboMax grips. They are the best improvement ever for the golf swing. Now I hit in the 70's more than the 80's thanks to them, and Kirk!
Two questions Kirk: when I did a 3 day GGA school they talked about the trail arm in the sunny side up position at address. Do you use that analogy? Would your secret move in the members section help with over rotation of the lead arm through impact? I have found since using S4I I tend to hook the ball to the right (lefty). I enjoyed the content of the video.
Hi Rick, I see many people with the trailing arm too much under at address which can cause hooking. So if someone is hooking and their leading hand is neutral then I will look at the trailing arm and adjust it so it is less under. In many cases that clears things up right away which is always great. Secret release can also help but takes longer so I prefer working with the drills and finding the proper hand/arm orientation that helps you straighten things out quickly.
Man, I just can't get right. I was getting better on the range but can't transfer to the course. It's like I'm forgetting something. Then I video taped myself and I see the same flip I always do. It's like my body stops turning just before impact. YEAH! I need some coaching! I'm fed up with finding tips that work then I lose it all.
That is exactly what happens. Your body stops turning so the hands cannot lead the way through impact. My program teaches you how to do that starting with very short swings first. More here on my channel and on my website at setup4impact.com
Great content but at 13 min mark you talk about Bryson left arm being internally rotated. His upper arm is externally rotated but from forearm to wrist it's internally rotated.
Like the concepts, I think you might get a little more traction with your deliver with a slightly shorter video time. Might consider a 8-min target time. Just get lost and find myself wanting to fast forward or move to another channel. Just friendly feedback. Content is spot on just gets a little lost in length of of the video.
I agree as I was not happy with this video at all. I will do some longer videos but they will be easier to follow. I was going to scrap it, but then decided some may like it.
I know. I did not like how this came out at all. I had two versions and both were not to my liking. I almost scrapped them but hope someone find some value in the info.
When you have your own youtube channel you can do as you wish, my thoughts are if you don't like it, this video was not meant for you. Give the man credit for the FREE INFORMATION, he is not looking for votes on his style or channel.
I agree with the others, if you don’t like it don’t watch it. I have a feeling the poster has never done public speaking or being the talking head in videos. It’s very hard to do.
@@Setup4Impact had no problem with the length since it was extremely helpful and practical. thank you Kirk, Im glad you keep it as simple as you can. some of us are not going to get it, if you complicate it to much. my game has improved watching you and another stack and tilter, i tried the outstretched Moe Norman thing at first but I felt like a robot, this is working for me

Great system, I did the online like 5 years ago. So much more consistent. Easier on the back too ! Thanks Kirk !
Excellent!
Really enjoyed it. Thanks. I definitely have closed club face issues. Most shot start straight and draw and sometimes overdraw 10 yards left of target
Great to see you again Kirk, thank you very much for taking the time out for us. Excellent teacher.
Thank you kindly
Loved it Kirk
Good job. Thank you.

There's a Gary Player video on low through its very useful for that.
This is exactly what I have been working on with my swing. I enjoy all youtube videos. Thank you.
Great to hear!
Hi, can you comment on Bryson’s ball position for driver and irons
Great video. It helped with my irons. My driver is still 50/50

Excellent tips, sir. Can you tell me what that beautiful red tree is behind you?
It is a Royal Poinciana. They bloom in South Florida in the spring.
Informative

I use the Jumbomax ultralite grips.

Why do I push balls or fade using this swing?
Probably bad alignment among other possibilities.

Bryson has changed his swing numerous times.
Finally science over dogmatism!

The only thing Bryson does better than Moe is hit further, but Moe hit straight all the time.
Way too much talking kirk way too much!!!
