[The Blood of Youth 少年歌行] At Snowfall Villa, Xiao Se, a miserly innkeeper who wears an expensive fur coat but can't afford to maintain the inn, meets Lei Wujie, a disciple of the Lei Clan who has just entered the martial arts world. The two decide to roam the martial arts world together. I love how the second prince’s emperor title is “Chong He”, a mashup of Xiao Chong and Xiao Chu He. They both could have been king but Xiao Se picked the wanderer life and gave up all the flashiness. In the end only the sons knew that their father defied the tradition of 2 matching scrolls. Such a twist to the very end haha. This is my third rewatch and I still notice new details. Blood of youth is definitely one of my favorite series ever!

I love the actor who plays Emperor so much. The scene with his son Chuhe was so touching. So real. Wow! TALENT!!!!
The emperor gave the Director his last chance but he still wanted to stir up troubles between the two brother.. that ending served him right..
Also I loved how Second prince didn't repeat the mistake his father once made as Xiao Se made the same choice as his uncle.. the second prince will be a good emperor and Xiao Se can roam freely ❤

Xiao Se's walk at 32:57 onwards will give u goosebumps,he walked like a true emperor leaving behind his empire on the hands of his beloved brother.Also I like the fact that how the late emperor leaves Xiao se with a decision to make regarding who'll ascend the throne without being partial cause though he knew who's the right candidate to sit on the throne,still he carefully made two statements.Loved the drama especially the characters Xiao Se & Lei Wujie(his acting is🔥)But one thing I must say,feel like the ending is incomplete, they could have show us the wedding of the leads if not atleast release some special epsiodes:)
Idk about a wedding but I would have loved seeing Xiao Se return to his other Snowfall villa where we started off at the very beginning. It would have been a nice circle but I‘m overall happy with the ending anyways :)

I'll also add that, I would have loved to see Xiao Se in more fighting scenes since they made him out to be this incredible martial arts person. Also, Lei Wujie never used his sister's Li Hanyi's flower style again in the later episodes. That was a bummer. That sword skill was so beautiful.

This drama is a masterpiece!❤️ Everything in the drama is so beautifully executed and every artist is amazing in their character. Kudos to the cast and crew of The Blood Of Youth for their great job! 👏👏 I'll miss the drama and wish to see season 2 of the drama.
Some fans are saying that wish there were more Wuxin scenes, but remember Li Hongyi/Xiao Se was the main character here and the story was his story with others as side characters !!! It started with Xiao Se and in his adventure towards his kingdom was the meeting of Lei Wujie, Wuxin and others !!!
This is the best wuxia series ever. No boring episodes. I love the display of each marital skills. The young heroes didn’t all of a sudden have more power than the other ones. They grew with each challenges and difficulties. Kudos to the directors and the members of the production crew. I enjoyed it.
I had to rewind 7 times to get over the shock. Either way the Emperor knew his most beloved son, Xiao Chuhe very well. He gave him to choose. There is mutual respect.
It feels bittersweet to watch this come to an end. This is such a great drama with great acting, storyline, production and dialogues. It is now one of my fav cdrama ever
I feel like chuhe's brother has always loved and cared about him not matter what. Happy to see that there was still one left different from chuhe. I don't blame chuhe travel the world instead letting a mere chair hold you down.

This drama was everything. I love the subtle romance, the epic sword fights, the friendships and adventure. It’s foundation is all about family. I loved it very much. I started watching it because of Li Hong Yi, but I’ve since fell for every actor in the show. Great job to the writers, directors, etc. It’s a masterpiece ❤

Xiao se, Wuxin, lie wujie, tang lian, qian luo, ruo yi, hua jin, mu chu feng these characters will always hold a beautiful place and the actors who potrayed those are all amazing literally each and everyone. A masterpiece drama 👏. The Emperor knew Chuhe so well and gave him the choice!. Loved this drama not one boring episode out of the 40. I looked forward for this drama in the morning and it's ended oh how I feel sad....
This drama is indeed a masterpiece with wuxin, lei wujie and xiao se. But my other two favorite characters in the drama were Young city Lord, Wushang and Divine healer, Hua Jin. I wanted them to become friends in the martial arts world while saving people in their own way but they didn't even met.

First drama i've watched that i've not even one episode boring, every 40 episodes were so great and amazing that 40 eps are not enough !!! Xiao Se and Lei Wujie duo was the best, it exceeded the other dramas duos for me !!! Xiao Se/Xiao Chuhe: this character will always stay in my heart ! Li Hongyi did an amazing job portraying his character ! Li Hongyi made it to my top list of favourite actors !! I will root for him like a die hard fan !
This is a masterpiece I’m going to recommend to everyone. This is the first Wuxia cdrama I’ve seen with perfect editing, acting and everything else. All those fight scenes were incomparable. Never skipped a part. Love this❤

The journey from the beginning to the end was amazing. None of the characters disappointed me and they all stood with their own ideals. I am just sad that it's over too soon and the fact that Wuxin didn't get enough screen time, he left way too quickly. Tang Lian is missed too. Thanks to the entire production team and script writers for making this masterpiece.

I hate goodbyes. And these goodbyes were bittersweet for me. Especially when the Emperor was talking to his son about his future love life. Knowing that he would die within the hour. 💔 The whole last episode and that ending though. I can't even. 😭😭😭

I will miss all the characters. A great story. Also when Xiao Se walked down the path in middle with the others kneeling on the sides, it looked so cool. He seemed more like the emperor, but more of a free emperor. Happy they are going on another journey, just the 4 friends, miss Tang Lian though.🥲
Hope the actors that played Xiao Se and Lei Wujie work together on another project again, I really liked their friendship in this drama.

This drama is really good to watch. I enjoyed it so much. Even tho its lil bit late show has its own charms till now. Good job Youku!
