- My friend Aaron and I tackle the Cowichan Valley 8 bikepacking route on Vancouver Island.

The plan: to follow the full figure-8 route with the exception of the Victoria city portion as we started the trip from the Vancouver mainland.

Hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we enjoyed riding this visually stunning part of Vancouver Island. 🙂
Thank you for a very informative video. I am planning to ride this trail and your video was very helpful. 👍👍
Love it. Looks like a fantastic time. Great video, love the flow
Fantastic, well done! Beautiful place to ride.
Great video showing what it’s like to ride this trail. Appreciate that you posted the distance and time you rode each day. I’ve had many “hike a bike” rides but now glad to get assistance from my Trek Dual Sport E-bike. With the extender battery attached you need to recharge the battery about every 42 miles if going uphill on gravel with full gear and in sport mode (one above eco mode). On level pavement my battery range is twice as good.😊
Thanks for the great video! I am planning on heading out there next weekend. However, after watching you suffer the climbs on the way up I will only do the north Cowichan portion 😅
Well done sir! I know how hard you trained for this and really proud of you for completing this journey and sharing your story. Not going to lie - I'm a bit jealous - but I 110% guarantee I would have been right with you on those hike-a-bike climbs. Look forward to discussing cinematography for the next several days!
Thanks Craig, and yeah, I could have used a pain partner for the uphills. Yes, there will be cinematography discussions for sure although my options are limited being a one camera kind of guy. :)
Planning on doing this trip May long weekend. thanks for posting cheers
Good luck with your planned trip. I think you'll love this route.
Another great adventure together! The video is amazing. What a great way to relive the trip. You are very skilled at editing.
Thanks brother and I hope there are many more adventures like it to come!
@@chasingmyfreedom3642 let's meet this week to start planning our Sept trip😄
Watching Davey-Doo and Akron’s Excellent Adventures from my couch.
Question - was it really a bear or a wolf??
I'd say definitely larger than a wolf Nad - snapping branches as it walked and making a decent amount of noise while moving through. Hope you enjoyed the vid!
