Personally I like how Heather Duke’s socks stay green. I think it shows that no matter how much she wanted to be red and how bad of a person she was, she still knew deep down that she would always be green. And her green symbolizes envy, so it also showed that she knew she wouldn’t be fully able to live up to Heather Chandlers standards as the new queen bee. Therefore she still somewhat remains green with envy. That was just my take on it haha, though I 100% agree that the green and red together didn’t look the most stylish.

Jefferson is my favorite character from Hamilton if only because I really like that he has like a sort of fancy patter about him but he's still a straight-up Savage.
Marius: doesnt love eponine Eponine Fans: its cosettes fault without her he would totally love eponine I just don't get it. Why would it be cosettes fault? Amy literally said she would blame jaime in the Last five years instead of the women hes cheating with. Then why blame cosette for her genuine love to marius. (Btw i don't think we should blame Marius because why cant He Love who He Loves??) I think cosette and Marius are a great couple! ✨
Yeah, I love Eponine but she shouldn't be with Marius, he's friends with her but there's no hint of him being attracted to her at all. In the book she's literally just a kid with a crush, it shouldn't be treated as a love triangle
The only reason I can see to get mad at the Cosette/Eponine situation is the fact that Eponine is a mezzo and dies while a soprano ends up with the guy she likes because of the stereotype that “boys always pick the soprano”.
I think it's because Eponine goes through character growth while becoming a better person because of her love for Marius. Unrequited love is very relatable and makes you root for Eponine. Cosette comes off as annoying to some people bc she shows up randomly and catches the eye of Eponine's longtime friend/crush. It isn't any of the three's fault, but it's just really relatable lol Also, like the comment above me stated, Cosette falls into the soprano love interest stereotype. It can be pretty frustrating for soprano characters to get the guy instead of the mezzo/alto
Cosette grew up in a convent and wears drab clothes in the book It also says Enjolras doesn't care for women in the book Also its not Cosette's fault Marius doesn't like Eponine and even if Cosette hadn't existed he wouldn't love Eponine.
I know it's not cosette's fault, I think was just saying it to attempt to be funny.... clearly didn't come across. Marius and Eponine would never have ended up together, but I think I loved Eponine from being super young and I just always wanted them to be together... even though I know theyre not right

I’m so sorry to hear that Marisa! I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but so glad to hear this video gave you a bit of laughter. I’m sending you all of my love and best wishes ♥️♥️♥️
I feel like on a lot of cast albums there is that one song that you always skip past, you should do a video talking about songs that you always skip :)
I’ve worked with the guy who’s in the photo you chose for The Wizard - Jason Graae! I did a few concerts with him and he is the sweetest guy in the world! He did the Wicked tour!
“These are not real people”- continues to talk about Leon Czolgas (is that how you write it?) (also the ballad of czolgas is so good, I started singing it the moment you said assassin)
Great vid as always! The Miss Saigon revival was spectacular, the cast was so, so good. Maybe I was swept up with being a bit of an Alistair Brammer stan but I adored Chris when he played him. However, when I saw the show on tour i was like, lol Chris, you are trash 😂 so you're opinion of him is on point. As for Lafayette in Hamilton, I agree, I kinda adore his sass but I also find him a bit, I don't know, petty maybe?
I'm really happy that you said you prefer Miss Saigon over Les Mis because I'm the same and people always ask how I prefer Miss Saigon and I just think how can you not.
I agree with you on Cosette (even though I've named both of my cats Eponine and Cosette). Eponine's story as an adult is just completely heart-wrenching and you want to cheer her on!
I was so scared you were gonna say Javert is your least favorite Les Mis character because so many people don't like him. He is my favorite character hes got the best songs and such a cool development
I’m kinda split on Heather Duke. On one hand, she was an AWFUL person. On the other hand, Heather C indirectly pressured her into an eating disorder, which I can empathize with and it makes me feel bad for her. I don’t think I really have a least favorite character in Heathers, and though I don’t like Duke, I wouldn’t say she’s my least favorite.
Yes totally agree with Chris! Miss Saigon is also one of my all time favourite musicals, but I so wish there was a bit more to his character! Deffo a bit of a wet blanket!
Eh, I feel kinda bad for Nessa. I mean, who wouldn’t have abandonment issues with the kind of family she grew up in? Then again, I haven’t read any of the books. Maybe I’d be more resentful of her if I did. But I’m not going to because I already know I’m too weak to handle them.
I don’t see how anyone likes Kurt or Ram from Heathers. It always baffles me because their personalities are the exact same and boil down to “sex-obsessed jock”, and that doesn’t exactly build sympathy for them before their deaths. Sure you can find them funny I guess, but they are just creeps, and since they are the only non-murdering major male characters in the cast (their dads don’t really count because they almost never show up aside from their one song), it pains me that they have no depth at all, on top of being terrible people. JD and the Heathers did a lot of bad things too, but at least you got to see that each of them had underlying depth (except arguably Heather C, but she was a jerk in a fun way, while Kurt and Ram are just jerks). Honestly Be More Chill has this problem to a degree with a lot of characters too, Chloe being the prime example, but also Jenna, the old version of Jake, and to a lesser extent, the new Jake and Brooke.
pleaseee do be more chill, beetlejuice, dear evan hansen, six (this would be great cause it's just like the last five years, there's only 6 people on the cast), legally blonde, in the heights (this would be so interesting bc this musical doesn't have any bad baad person), avenue q, into the woods (i'd love to see this, itw has so many anoying-funny characters lol), falsettos, the book of mormon and waitress this was the first video of this channel i ever so and i just subscribed!! loving your content
So my friends watched Les Mis in high school and middle school and loved Eponine. Finally getting to watching it as an adult, I liked them both. After learning more about the book, then rewatching, Cossette is definitely my favorite character in Les Mis now.
I LOVE Wicked ( it’s what got me into musical theatre) and I honestly couldn’t agree more with your opinion of the wizard. Stan Wonderful, skip a Sentimental Man lol
Anyway cosette is great, she was a victim of emotional and physical abuse in her childhood, and then grew up in complete isolation and with no real friends her age in her teenage years (except for those few convent years), and STILL managed to not only be a well adjusted young woman, but fiercely kind and supportive of those she loves. Instead of turning bitter, she's spreading hope and goodness. She's also not afraid to stand up to the only person she really has in her life (demanding valjean tell her what's going on in In My Life), which shows that she's not meek and submissive, just usually calm and level headed. aLSO, Enjolras is canonically Not Into Women. People usually interpret him as asexual, or gay (because he's compared to famous gays in history and literature a lot lmao, for example antinous, or orestes, or ganymede)
You know, I never thought of it that way. Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like Cinderella’s situation. That gives me a new level of respect for Cosette.
But isn’t Cosette really nice and kind and happy even though she grew up with the same people as Éponine and her Mother died, I think thats kinda impressive, I wouldn’t have bin like that😂
As someone who has read Les Mis (the book. The HUGE book), my least favourite character is Jon Val Jon (that's probably spelt wrong but I can't spell). He never really changes throughout the novel. He just stays an a**hole the entire story. He's quite boring and often very rude to people. He's a nicer character in the musical and so I actually quite like him in the musical. I've also always really disliked the love that JD gets. Heathers is one of my least favourite musicals (because of the themes and how badly it's handled), but the fandom WORSHIPS JD who is a LITERAL MURDERER. And I'll never understand the love for him
I’m probably one of the only people in the musical fandom who doesn’t hate Cosette! People just hate her because she “stole” Marius from Eponine, when it wasn’t her fault at all. Marius fell in love with her, and he never loved Eponine like that. I would love to play Cosette, but ya girl ain’t a soprano 😂
I don't hate her or think she "stole" Marius!! I just always loved Eponine's fight and maybe wanted her to get with Marius because she loved him so much, but they weren't right for each other and I can see that. I definitely don't hate Cosette and don't think she did anything wrong, I just don't think she is as exciting as the other characters in the show
Totally agree about Heather Duke! It took me a while to think of a least favourite from that but I agree about her. Also Cosette too because we stan Eponin. You are so funny. I really love your videos so much.
I love the Last Five Years and I have to say that both Jamie and Cathy were at fault. Neither was truly a good or terrible person but their relationship was well...complicated. Don’t come after me plz. :)

I’m so sorry to hear that Marisa! I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but so glad to hear this video gave you a bit of laughter. I’m sending you all of my love and best wishes ♥️♥️♥️
@@AmyLovatt1 Thank you so much. 'm sending big hugs from here in the US to you.
I feel like on a lot of cast albums there is that one song that you always skip past, you should do a video talking about songs that you always skip :)
Absolutely love your content
I’ve worked with the guy who’s in the photo you chose for The Wizard - Jason Graae! I did a few concerts with him and he is the sweetest guy in the world! He did the Wicked tour!
Aww bless him!
“These are not real people”- continues to talk about Leon Czolgas (is that how you write it?) (also the ballad of czolgas is so good, I started singing it the moment you said assassin)
This was a great video idea ! I would really like to see another episode of the Broadway Scandal !
I'm so happy they did a pro shot of that revival so I can rewatch it... and now my plan for today is set!
Totally agree with the Wizard. He BORING and ANNOYING.
I'm really happy that you said you prefer Miss Saigon over Les Mis because I'm the same and people always ask how I prefer Miss Saigon and I just think how can you not.
I agree with you on Cosette (even though I've named both of my cats Eponine and Cosette). Eponine's story as an adult is just completely heart-wrenching and you want to cheer her on!
best, most geniune and respectful theatre youtuber
oh thank you ataigh, that means so so much to me!
I was so scared you were gonna say Javert is your least favorite Les Mis character because so many people don't like him. He is my favorite character hes got the best songs and such a cool development
I adore Javert!
Your videos genuinely brighten my day. I really hope you're doing ok!
I definitely know what you mean!
She's better in the movie. She actually starts off as a semi nice person as opposed to the musical where she is mean the whole time.
You should do six and starkid shows next time!
Omg I’m so glad you brought up the green socks it always pissed me off when I saw heathers 😂
Glad I wasn't alone on that haha!
heather duke makes me so mad because she dared to make fun of the smol bean
Honestly, the only thing I like about Kurt and Ram in The Heathers is their death scene.
Yes totally agree with Chris! Miss Saigon is also one of my all time favourite musicals, but I so wish there was a bit more to his character! Deffo a bit of a wet blanket!
Assassins is so underrated
me: opens video
amy: the cher show
me: i agree
5:00 YAS.
Green girl rules, the wizard drools
YES LAST 5 YEARS APPRECIATION !!!!! LOVE IT
NESSA ROSE IS THE WORST CHARACTER IN WICKED YOU CANT CHANGE MY MIND. The wizard is a very close second
Nessa is horrible thank you for saying it
Hard agree!
This is Seriously my favorite YT channel! Thank you, Amy!!
Wow, thank you!
Young cosette: verry bean
Older cosetts: very meh
Young Èponine: very meh
Older Èponine: very bean
YOU ARE SO AMAZING FOR GIVING SOMETHING FOR EVERYBODY! I love you SO MUCH🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙂🥰🥰
I always love your intro I just automatically wanna reply “I’m going alright, how are you Amy?”
also you should do falsettos!!
Yes to grown up Cosette in Les Mis. I mean some of the people who play her are awesome but gahh.
pleaseee do be more chill, beetlejuice, dear evan hansen, six (this would be great cause it's just like the last five years, there's only 6 people on the cast), legally blonde, in the heights (this would be so interesting bc this musical doesn't have any bad baad person), avenue q, into the woods (i'd love to see this, itw has so many anoying-funny characters lol), falsettos, the book of mormon and waitress
this was the first video of this channel i ever so and i just subscribed!! loving your content
I agree with every single thing!! Especially disliking older Cosette! Love this video, great job Amy!!
I was never really into musicals, aside from Starkid, but since I’ve watched you I’ve become a big fan!
I think a lot of people have an obsession with people's dislikes because it's so much fun to bond over 😂
Anyway cosette is great, she was a victim of emotional and physical abuse in her childhood, and then grew up in complete isolation and with no real friends her age in her teenage years (except for those few convent years), and STILL managed to not only be a well adjusted young woman, but fiercely kind and supportive of those she loves.
Cosette is my favourite les mis character and it always makes me sad when people don’t like her :( anyone else?
ahh im sorry! I don't mean to make anyone sad with it - just different opinions I suppose!
Chris from Miss Saigon....couldn’t have said it better.
This is gonna be exciting
But isn’t Cosette really nice and kind and happy even though she grew up with the same people as Éponine and her Mother died, I think thats kinda impressive, I wouldn’t have bin like that😂
Great Video!
Agree With The Wizard Thing, He's The Worst
I'd Love To See You Do Newsies, Cats, Phantom And Six
oh my god cats would be such a fun one!
And I'll never understand the love for him
I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve heard Amy say the Cher show
I’m probably one of the only people in the musical fandom who doesn’t hate Cosette!
I really love your videos so much.
aww thank you!
Omg Justice for Czolgosz 😂
I love the Last Five Years and I have to say that both Jamie and Cathy were at fault. Neither was truly a good or terrible person but their relationship was well...complicated. Don’t come after me plz. :)
Yep, I agree that they were both at fault! I just think Jamie should have broken up with Cathy before he went off with Elise.
Amy Lovatt Totally Agree
