I feel your story🥲. I got my two Yellowbelly sliders (Hybrids) in 2004 and wanted so much more reptiles for a long Time. Since 2020 I am a proud owner of snakes, lizards, invertebrates and still my to old turtles. I can't believe how much these beautiful animals enrich my life. Good to see soulmates all over the world🫶

Thanks for your transparency! My wife has a background similar to yours, minus the love for reptiles. 😂 I've had snakes for all but six months of our 23 years of marriage and she's never come around, but she lets me keep them so I'm grateful for that! Our ball python, Regis, is 22, but I've been keeping reptiles for over 40 years.

I just found your page recently because I just recently became interested in learning more about keeping reptiles. I went to the Reptarium store in Dallas and found that I loved them although I already knew I did. Just never saw so many up close with the possibility of buying them. The chameleons are so special!!!

thanks for sharing! my family has a lot of blended family stuff going on, so i have an uncle who was like 4 when i wass born and dozens of cousins who aren't all firsts, but second cousin once removed is a lot to say about cousin mike, ya know?
i started following the channel not too long before getting my second crested gecko, he's almost a year old now and the one i had before him is nearly 2 :) planning on my future reptiles now, i actually found you because i've been researching getting a jeweled lacerta once my youngest kiddo understands why we don't bang on enclosures or share our salad with the guinea pigs.

I wanna share reptile journey with you, Tricia!
I was always really fascinated in different types of animals. I was a very introverted and shy kid, and never felt like I needed a bunch of socialization because I would rather stare at animal books all day lol.
My brothers were also really into animals, and since I was born we’ve always had different types of animals from bunnies to turtles to fish etc. My brother had a leopard gecko that he got since middle school (she’s still alive today after all these years!!) and my oldest brother had two turtles. I found reptiles along with many other pets really interesting to keep. Fast forward years later in 2016 I got a new dog and I really became passionate about pet care since then. Then, in 2022 (last year) I really decided it was time for me to get my own reptile. I figured I was committed and had the funds, so I got a leopard gecko. (Classic beginner choice ik). I really researched their care, and my leo even has a bioactive setup! It was really interesting, because my brother’s care was so different considering he got his gecko back in 2003. Everyone thought leopard geckos came from sand dune like areas, she just had a heat lamp, sand, and two hides! (Dw she’s in much better care now lol). I really got to compare our differences in the way he used to take care of his leo, and how I took care of mine. It was so incredible to me how much reptile care and research had really evolved.
Throughout this incredible year of keeping my leopard gecko, my love for reptiles has never been stronger, and I find myself to really connect with them as well as others who love them as much as I do!
