I love frost reading the card verbatim and then proceeds to play the card and realize it does the complete opposite of what he thought after reading it out loud
He literally didn’t process what he just said and it’s gold.
For a smartass who thinks he's so damn clever, he can make the stupidest of mistakes on occasion...
It's even more hilarious that after he correctly understood it and tried it, it didn't work and did the opposite of what it said (subtracting armor)
For those that want to see the heart weapon text he clicked through:

The Cultist Mask card is the best thing I've ever seen in this game
Ohm my god. For me, this is the first mod that beats the Hermit. More of that please.
There might be more meme mods, more balanced ones, but overall quality (balance, theme, combos, art and flavor combined) this is S level.
And I love that because it is about relics, the cards are immediately familiar. I never played mods, but I might give this one a try.

Cards being immediately familiar was exactly my main motivation behind this fun project :D
When you think about it, Cauldron is a really bad card since it can trigger the effect of a smoke bomb.
And it does indeed cause problems on boss fights

I love how the fight against the Cauldron card was harder than the heart fight itself
38:57 Reptomancer was not ready for the high IQ play that Tristan so boldly pulled off.
They should make a special relic specifically for Apparition, me thinks.

@@pavankansagra9931 I mean yeah you could go all the way and make one for every colourless card, or even every ironclad, silent, defect, watcher card. They're all obtainable after all! Or, fix the interaction to not include stuff that doesn't have an associated relic.

Personally Speaking, as long as the creator isn't making money off of the AI art, I don't see an issue with using it for projects like this. If am paying for a product, I want the art to have effort. If its free (meaning no cost or ads), then I don't care and it looks better than seeing a pokeball for every card.
On top of that, I believe I saw them mention that they don't use AI to generate the art, but to touch up what they are using.
I love how he yells at chat about his dyslexia after everyone tried to warn him it was broken in the first place🤣
One thing I’m confused about is how Coffee Dripper synergizes with un-upgraded cards, while Fusion Hammer synergizes with upgraded cards.
Shouldn’t it be the opposite because of the relics?
You pick Coffee Dripper when you still need upgrades.
You pick Fusion Hammer when your deck is already upgraded.
Suppose the idea for Fusion Hammer is to upgrade everything you can, then get the relic for maximum effect?

But with Coffee Dripper, man, it just makes the card weaker over time.

I was today years old when I learned that stances don’t come with status effect symbols. I thought it was a bug with the mod at first, but no, that’s just how stances work.

It seems like for a lot of cards are so strong, infusing them is worse. Like 3 tungsten rod cards are waaay better than a single tungsten rod relic.

People commented in the live chat. People are mainly complaining about it because it is AI art, so that reduces the value and importance of the arts greatly.
Well, the creator of the mod also said he uses quick sketches and polishes with AI art, so your opinion can be in wich side you want, some people see a problem some see none.
@@nathanmello4407personally, I think they're using AI on art the way it should be. Not generating the image wholesale, but starting with an image, and using AI to improve it.
I see it as a more advanced use of something like a photoshop tool or technique.
@@denverarnold6210 - I would agree to some extent, but the creator said he used a "quick draft", which probably means he just made the forms with no colors whatsoever and then the AI did... Everything basically. Depending on his quick draft definition, maybe it was even less than that, but anywho.
I think AI art is a problem in general, because even in this case it still ripped from its database, but not so much as to think the mod less of it. This is a small project, i get it, having the right tools is good and AI helps with that a lot! I really think the mod community is happy with that, in a way.
At the same time, though, it removes the _worth_ of it, y'know? What about mods that have a full drawn out deck? It stands out less now. And, since everyone can have "good quality" art now on all mods, the importance of it is kinda... A tad too low.

All relic run, start with every relic good or bad. But you have to remove them after elites. With a chance to upgrade other relics. Idk how this will work

It's like the mention of AI Art is now a taboo boogeyman.
Guys, that's not how you advocate for AI Art regulation. That's how you make people be in favour of AI Art if you're being hysterical about it in any context.
yeah, if AI art is replacing what only could have otherwise been shitty ms paint that would've only detracted from the experience, there's no reason to complain about it.

Using A.I. art is like content piracy: If you were never going to pay for it in the first place, no-one has lost out on any profit.
Big corporations using it so they can fire a bunch of artists is shitty as hell.
Indy Devs with no money using it to make something look better than the MS Paint scribbles they could have made is perfectly fine.

The problem is that all of the art that is used as a base for these ai generation programs is scraped off of artists with absolutely no credit or consent. Using it in any context is just not ethical even if it's just for a small silly mod for a random card game that not a lot of people will see, it's still plagiarism no matter what you're using it for.

Why would the mod creator saying “I’ve never tried it” mean you need to do science to see if Apparition turns into a relic? It’s…that’s not how programming works….

This mod seems really cool, you know what isn't cool? Using AI to generate the card art. Even if the card art looks "bad" it would still be better and would have it's own charm, if you really want it to look nice then take the extra time. Very cool mod otherwise.

I think in order for you to get ANY relic that has a card, you need to get it through the campfire interaction
This was ironically proved untrue quite early on, since in the chest in act 1 he was offered a Mercury Hourglass (he took key), which is a card in the mod

I believe they said they used AI to modify and polish their preexisting art, not generate it.
@@denverarnold6210 I know, still doesn't make it any better, since any use of AI actively steals from who knows how many artists. They already made art for each card, could've just stopped there.
@@namsuzaija8240 yes, they could have stopped at an inferior version by not using the tools available to them. And I find steal to not be accurate, in this context.
I would more or less agree it's steal with AI generated art, but if using other art as reference to better improve your own picture is stealing, then nearly every artist is a thief.
@@denverarnold6210 it wouldn't be inferior, it still would've been a cool mod with some cool mechanics. Only difference is that they wouldn't have used software that actively takes and uses images without the permission of those they belong to
