If you duplicate the scene_02 using Cmd+D it will surely duplicate that particular composition. But it will not duplicate the other comps present inside that composition. And you have to manually duplicate and replace those comps(let's say the image_comp) But using the script you don't need to do these things manually. Also if you make only one or 2 scenes you can manually do it but think of it working with multiple scenes to build a template. That way the script also helps to save time and energy. I hope it helps to clear your doubt 😃
