Cool work. I’m building a similar one but using a electric pro clutch instead of a centrifugal chain.

Good video and nice to see what other folks are doing on their ATV world. Our ATV Club trying to build a new trail system. The people living don't get the value of what ATV trail system and it sad.

    Nice:
Few changes to think about, remove the skids replace with wheels, and add a hard rubber scraper blade when you were using that I seen snow throw back under the ATV.
You could do small commercial lots with that thing and earn back the money you spent on it and then some. overall its a pretty cool idea with plenty of power it looks like.
I was wanting to take an old Atlas single stage thrower and fit it to the front of my lawn tractor, but watching this I see it weighs down the front pretty good, the tractor might have a hard time pushing it. however I could use the take off in the front to drive a second stage impeller and the original motor to lift the snow. I put bearings in place of the skids that were worn out after 30 years of use. The wheels over skids is a no brainer it used to get stuck under its own power, but after the bearing wheels it plows right through without a stop. Metal skids were never a good idea IMO they scratch up a driveway and hook onto cracks. plus they do not last.
Not like that's an issue with you you can make new ones, but try and find a set for a 30 year old snow thrower when MTD bought out that company years ago.

bobbg, If you have a welder, or a buddy with one, you can weld on some 1/4'' flat stock to the original skids every couple of years and you should be good. But if you don't want the scratches on your driveway, then your idea is the best.

Have a similar setup, wanting to widen out as well, how did you accomplish lengthening the single stage auger?

Seems that the quad cart is faster than the snow grinder, so you must slip on the clutch. Am I right?

    •  10 років тому +1

Yes. I have another springs for Hillard clutch I have to try. This video was first ride with snow, and I also have to learn speedlimit ;)
