- 🤓HOW TO CONVERT A JPEG TO AN SVG TO USE IN CRICUT DESIGN SPACE
You asked, I listened! Please follow along with my process for HOW TO CONVERT A JPEG TO AN SVG FOR USE WITHIN CRICUT DESIGN SPACE.
*Disclaimer* I am NOT an expert Inkscape user. I can simply walk you through the basics of uploading an image to Inkscape that can be converted into an SVG for use within Cricut Design Space.
Hopefully, you watched the last video • SUBLIMATION FOR BEGINN... , where I shared my process for sublimating ornaments for Christmas. In that tutorial, I shared that I created an SVG in Inkscape and I used that shape to make the perfect size template for my ornaments. Well, this is my process from start to finish!
Hopefully this is helpful for you! If so, please click that like and subscribe button, and turn on the bell for notifications.

Yessss you are my go too! These tutorials are amazing!😍
Thank you so much ❤
For anyone just now watching these videos about the ornaments and how to get the exact shape into your design space (Silhouette for me), if you have a printer that has scanning capabilities, you can just put the ornaments on your scanner/copy bed and choose save to PC/scan to email (whatever similiar option your copier has), save as a PDF (or desired option if given multiple). Then just open in design space and trace. From there, I made an offset to be sure I covered the ornament's surface area. I did have to change my auto-scan to document (or photo) to keep mine from scanning the images separately and being partially off the page.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for doing this. ❤️
You're welcome. I know there are multiple ways to convert files, this is just the way that works for me.
Great tutorial! Learned a lot! Thank you for this video!
Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate it.
Good video thanks ❤
Great job ma'am! Thanks.
Thank you 😊
First time seeing you. Right off I like your personality, so bubbly and friendly.
Thank you so much ❤️
Thank you so much for making that simple enough for me to understand. I have watched other videos and still couldn't figure it out. 😁
Thank you ❤️
I just came across this video. I don’t even know or heard about Inkscape 😆. Thank you
You’re welcome 😊
WoW.. you make it look so easy! I don’t know anything about Inkscape, never used the program. But now I think I can 😁👍🏻
I'm sure you can Hennie!
@@CraftingwithDelonda you got a lot of trust in me 😉
She does make it look so easy! She gives me hope! 😊💕
Now Shari, you know you can do this with no problem 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this technique!! You always give thorough and good info. I am in the research stages of my submimation process. I have everything to get started, but am trying to gather tips so that I can get started printing n pressing. I wonder if you could have taken a picture of the actual ornaments and turn those into svg?
Thank you! I’m sure I could. It would take a few additional steps.
Can I also scan this on my printer
I'm sure you could, because that would make it easier to upload to your computer. Do your scans convert to pdf files?
