If you get a good condition one of these cheap, it can be a satisfying experience. The camera body is best considered as "delicate", particularly as to the filom advance. It's virtue is the wonderful collection of high quality lenses available, particularly those from Zeiss Jena. If I used one, I'd shop a second body as back-up, and I'd find a capable repairman to keep it running.
Ah this is my first and current medium format camera! Love the big guy, although you do have to be careful with it to avoid spacing. Took me a while to master getting the film tight enough when loading but now it shoots a full roll perfectly. I only have the waist level viewfinder, been on the look out for a eye level one but they can be fairly pricy on ebay especially as most of them need to be shipped from mainland Europe. Another great video, keep up the hard work mate!
Thanks for your kind words, this is just the start, I currently have just over 250 cameras and over 600 lenses built up over a 40 year time frame, this one I have had for about 15 years, such a beautiful camera
@@thephotographersbag. Literally, you could pull out a different camera with two lenses every day and get back to it next year! What a collection. Great stuff.
Really enjoy your videos. Thanks for making them. Need to get one of these.
Thanks for your encouragement, they will keep coming, lots to cover...

Hi, great advice, the glass is the reason to buy....
@@thephotographersbag Lenses can be used on Mamiya 645 with reduction :-)
Very nice camera!

Great choice for medium format, can be a bit frustrating at first but once you master the camera its great, the lenses are fantastic also
@@thephotographersbag You can say that again! That Zeiss glass is hard to beat, I've got the 80mm 2.8 without the zebra markings.
Where the hell did you find this? Wow. Impressive array of fine analogue equipment.
