What a great game. Not only did it include incredibly difficult puzzles, but had great action, graphics, music and a very touching story line. I can't think of another game with more heartache in it than this.

Oh my god, thank you sooo much for uploading and keeping this. Honestly, and I'm sure 99% of the people that have played this game will agree, this is the best RPG ever made. Hardest too, but unlike some other big hits like FFVII and Zelda OoT (which are in my fave list too), this game gathers pretty much every aspect needed in all games, and this keeping the classical kick ass 2d view.
i remember when i was still like 6 or 5... i would always wait all day for my bro to come home from work just so i caould watch him play this to game...
if you beat this game without using any walkthroughs, you're pretty much good at solving puzzles. i remembered being stuck in one level and have to phone a friend to help :(
@GiefCherryCoke The opening theme is called that way: Alundra - Opening Since I do not have it in my Ost I suppose ou won't have problems finding this track.
Amazing game. I've played through it numerous times and I have to say out of all the bosses, the water boss (@ 2.34-2.37) and the boss @ 1.28 to 1.31 were the hardest (and I mean without the uber sword for the second one). Seriously, even the final boss had nothing on them.
Yeah, all you folks are quite right. This game was pure amazing due to his impressive dificulty, the dark history, and the puzzles ohh they were so so sickening...!! the graphics, although in 2D are really well done, they are so beautiful... Oh, I hope one day matrix will make Alundra 3, or a remake of Alundra, some kind of resurrection of Alundra...But this wont't never happen, :(
Yeah, the Soul-Eater. It appeared twice in the game, on the one hand at Kline's Dream and in the other at Giles' Dream, the latter was quite difficult, sinec you had to protect him from being engulfed! Yeah, that boss was amazing
I used to play this game very much years ago, I remember every location in this clip. Too bad I got stuck in the very last combat, had lost all my potions and couldn't get thru. I have to find this somewhere, would be great if my ps1 worked, it doesn't feel the same without its controller.

We can all agree that the puzzles are a pain in the hind, but all in all this game excels in every aspect.
Dear Game Makers - stop making graphic beautiful games without deeper sense and follow the example of alundra - this game is far more playable even in these days!

Hey, I saw your video and you have an immportant failure. When you arrive at the place were there are fire geisers and a letter, you have to read that letter, it explains that you have to use the rocks to close the 3 fire geisers that are highlighted, then the door will open. Hope I have helped you.

is there any possibility that a mod for alundra would be made? the idea just blows me away, making your own dungeons, bosses and sprites, and have in the unique gameplay mechanisms. Unlike RPG maker, that would rock! .. any PC wiz´s up for te challenge? :)

Yeah, this game is pretty similar to Zelda. And Near26, you are really right! I only consulted the puzzle of the five saints. But the rest of the game was done witouth using walktroughs, really hard, this game has the worst sickening puzzles!!

Everything was perfectly balance in Alundra.. it has aged incredibly well. I would call it timeless.

i remember thsi game being LONG as hell and HARD as hell. especially the giant ape tree dungeon.
