I’m a little worried about Giroux leaving or dropping off. He’s huge in Ottawa and needs to be replaced at one point. Also with Norris injury we could move him to the wing and have him and Norris as our second line future.
I think u guys are forgetting that stutzle is a centre. Stutzle, Norris, pinto, and Grieg are all great centre men. It would be a waste of a top 10 pick to draft a centre when that’s your strongest position depth wise
Berkly Catton shouldn't even be a consideration.. skilled guy sure. He's just more of the same for us though.. He does not bring anything new or different to Ottawa. If it's forward it's Lindstrom/Iginla or bust. RHD it's Levshunov, Parekh, or Yakemchuk. Knowing what we have heard from Sens management and coaches, I would bet a good chunk of money one of those 5 are the pick.
Senators depth in the system is not good, except left side D. They really need to draft a winger on the left or right side even before a right defenseman that will take years to develop. A right D or two could come through trades or Free agency. If Iginla is available, Sens would be nuts not to draft him or at the very least, swap 7th and 9th with Calgary...... Part of the trade in there, maybe a Weeger & Chabot swap
#7 overall would likely play the following year. Their RD is awful and has been for 6 yrs. They need to address RD at the draft. Almost impossible to get a top 4 RD through trade or FA
I thought lindstrom had back issues.
But anyway, great talk. Nice job. Enjoyed the listen.
About LD Defensmen - There is a buttload of them in the league. Easy to replace.

Sorry talking about Sens considering Catton here
Peter's final ranking?

The Sens need a LW and a Rd so either parekh or iginla unless u want to convert catton to the wing
